Gray and White

EATING!!! He's always up on the counter trying to get into whatever I am preparing, and when I sit down to eat he's always the first one there begging for scraps. He also loves knocking things down the sink drains. ARGH!

Being picked up and held - he HATES THAT! Having his eyes wiped, or being baths.

Favorite Toy:
Nico and Troubie - he loves to play fight and chase with them. Any kind of ball...a rubber ball, a cat ball with a bell or catnip inside, a furry ball...doesn't matter. He'll pick it up, carry it around, put it down, bat it, then carry it off again.

Favorite Nap Spot:
On a foot, on the top of the plant wall on his special bed, or on my bed in a big kitty pile with his brothers and sister.

Favorite Food:
Hemi likes ALL food...he doesn't care what kind it is!

Leaping - he can leap onto the refrigerator in a single bound! He's also a talented "triller"...he doesn't meow, he purr/trills. He sounds like a birdie. ;o) Oh, and dropping things down drains. ARGH!!!!

Arrival Story:
Meow!!! Meow!!! Meow!!! Meow!!! That's what my friend Christy heard one evening while she was hanging out with some friends. After looking around for a bit, she discovered the source...some abandoned four week old kittens. One jet black, two black and white spotted, and one grey and white. Christy brought the little guys to me for the first night, and I spent the whole night hand feeding them every 3 hours. Then she took them back, and she spent a 4-day weekend handfeeding them. They became her babies...she'd rescued them on a cold September night, and she'd cared for them when no one else could. After not being able to find a shelter to take them (they were too young) Christy kept all four. She had them tested for FIV/FeLV (all negative) and discovered they were all boys (Byron, Mr. Whiskers, Murphy and Behemoth!). Christy took care of them with love for a few weeks, weaning them onto kitten glop and then onto kitten food...and then, when they were big enough, they had a big going away party! All of the kitties are here in one city, and all of the owners are good friends of their original foster Momma (except for Byron, who Christy adopted herself! LOL!) it's perfect. We all got a beautiful bundle of fur to love on, and Christy got to rescue some babies who needed her and will always be able to follow along in their lives. :o)

Behemoth is an independant, stubborn little no way attributable to my spoiling him rotten, I'm sure. Because he's not the first cat to cuddle up and love on me, his cuddles and head butts and trills are the sweetest...and it's a very blessed day indeed when I get some! Behemoth knows if I am sad or uncomfortable or in pain, and he will run to me and lick my toes, my hands, my cheeks and repeatedly trill until the bad moment has passed. He LOVES to wrestle with Nicodemus and Troubador, but is usually submissive even though he's big enough to take them both down, and doesn't want or need to be the alpha cat. He just wants someone to lick his ears and cuddle with him.
