Dear Diary,
Hello furiends! I did something different Friday night...I went to Hammock Talk. It is a Group Forum in my Over The Rainbow Group. My big sisfur Muffy is usually the only one that goes to Hammock Talk because she has alot of furiends there. It's a great purrlace to go...you meet lots of nice kitties and doggies there, and there is ALWAYS lots of delicious food there cooked by my Auntie Autumn to eat.
Last night there were Shrimp, Scallop, & Chicken Kabobs, Beef Kabobs, Bacon Wrapped Pork Kabobs, Veggie Kabobs, and for dessert there were Fruit Kabobs. Auntie Autumn always cooks something fur the kitties and something fur the doggies, so efurryone is happy. To drink, there was Catnip Ale fur the kitties, and there was Beef Jerky Ale fur the doggies. For the kittens there was a bowl of Sweet Cream.
I met my new furiends Baby Dot and Baby Tuxie there. They are two brofurs that joined Over The Rainbow in the middle of June 2010. Last night was our furst purrlaydate togefur. I was at the Hammock fur just ofur an hour before they came along. Once they got there, we pigged out on Shrimp Kabobs and bowls of cold sweet cream. I had already downed two Chicken Kabobs before they got there, so I got rather full! After we pawlished off our bowls of cream, we were ready to purrlay.
We decided to purrlay Hide and Seek. I was "it" and they ran off to hide. I counted to twenty five, then I raced off into the meadow surrounding the Hammock to find them. I looked high and low, and I was unable to find them. There are a lot of purrlaces to hide in the meadow, so I had my paws full. I looked under the bushes surrounding the meadow...nothing. I looked behind the trees on the outskirts of the meadow and in the meadow....nothing. Then I walked ofur to the dining area next to the Hammock. As I was walking past one of the dining tables, something brushed against my butt. It scared me, so I called out to Auntie Autumn! After I calmed down, I got down on all four paws and looked under the table...and then I saw Baby Dot hiding there. Aha, I found you! I shouted. Then I tagged Dot and he was "it."
I was just going to go hunt fur Baby Tuxie again, when I had to leave. My typist had to leave to go eat dinner, so I had to go back home before I had found Baby Tuxie. I said my good byes to efurryone there and headed home. As I was walking past one of the trees near the meadow, Baby Tuxie was giggling and laughing so hard that he almost fell out of the tree. He swung down off one of the branches, and slapped my tail as he landed near me. I spun around and saw him standing there holding his tummy. He had been hiding in one of the tall trees, and had been watching me hunt for him all along! He was laughing so hard his tummy hurt!
I had the best time at Hammock Talk last night with Baby Tuxie and Baby Dot...I hope I can purrlay with them again real soon! They are so much fun to purrlay wif!

I have been tagged in the Halloween Tag Game by my dad Buddy, so here goes:
I am to name five favorite things I have about Halloween, and chose six friends to tag:
1. I didn't live long enough on Earth to have Halloween, so all of my
Halloweens have been at the Bridge. I like the pumpkin pies that
my sisfur Muffy makes out of the Halloween pumpkin after it gets
carved.
2. I like the cool Autumn breeze at night.
3. I like to go Trick or Treating in my Halloween Costume.
4. I get to have a caramel apple after we go Trick or Treating.
5. I get to have extra treats on Halloween.
I am going to tag:
Kassie
Wee Geordie
Adam
Bunny
Muffy

Hello fur faces! It's been a long time since I updated this diary....and a lot of things have happened! I've been spending time with Squeak ofur at his house this summer, and we get to play down by their private dock. We have fun swimming there. We also catch fish (and most are big enough to eat!) and frogs, and we play with them in the water. Squeak's Dad Gato, and my dad (Buddy) each have a sailboat and a speed boat. Auntie Autumn and Uncle Gato and my mom and dad wanted to throw a big sailing pawty for the end of summer, so they had the pawty last night.
I am not furry good at telling stories, but I will try and tell you a little bit about the sailing pawty.
END OF SUMMER SAILING PAWTY
All cats and all dogs met at 6:00 p.m. Catster Time sharp at Uncle Gato's private dock in his back yard. Efurrybody arrived on time and with a smile on their face. Uncle Gato had a previous engagement to go to, so he would be running a little late. Dad decided to take the first bunch of fur babies out on his boat, then when Uncle Gato arrived, he could bring the rest of the ones interested in a sailboat ride. It was just going to be a short trip around the lake, but the lake up here in Heaven is gigantic, so efurryone was going to have a nice long ride. I met a kitten named Amar last night. Amar hung out with Squeak and I near the wheel where Dad steered the boat. Dad let each of us take a turn steering the sail boat...and wowzerooni! It was funtabulous! Efurryone aboard was either meowing or enjoying the scenery and taking pictures.
Purrty soon we heard Uncle Gato and Aunt Autumn's voices ofur the boat's radio. Dad told them our location so that they could sail out to join us. They brought the other half of the pawty goers out to where we had waited for them near the middle of the clear blue lake.
As soon as the other sailboat was alongside of us, we both headed north to the northern shore of the lake. Uncle Gato fired up the grill on his boat to cook some of the delicasies that were fare that day for his guests, and himself. Uncle Gato was starved as usual! Anyone that knows my Uncle knows that he can eat large amounts of food at any given time of the day or night! My dad is no slouch in the food department either....he LOVES my momma's cooking! MOL! While the grill was heating up, efurryone grabbed a pawrdner and started dancing. The following song was playing on the ship's system:
Sailing - Christopher Cross
Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me
It's not far to never-never land, no reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocence again
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me
CHORUS:
Sailing takes me away to where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free
Fantasy, it gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie, every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me?
CHORUS
Well it's not far back to sanity, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find serenity
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me
********************************************************** **********
Isn't that the purrfect song to play while sailing with your furiends? We thought so! Raven & Cocoa, Uncle Gato & Aunt Autumn, Mom & Dad, Spike & Critter, Mei Ling & Taz, and Cleo and Tazi were all dancing to the music while Amar, and Squeak and I sang along. Efurryone had a great time....the last thing I remember was lying down on the ship's bed, being VERY sleepy, and Mom singing to me while Dad tucked me in. It was a purrfect end to a wonderfur day....

This poem came from a Catster group page:
Where to Bury A Cat
There are various places within which a cat may be
buried. We are thinking now of a tabby cat, a
striped cat, whose coat was like watered silk, and
who, so far as we are aware, never entertained a
mean or an unworthy thought. This cat is buried
beneath a cherry tree, under four feet of garden
loam, and at its proper season the cherry strews
petals on the green lawn of his grave. Beneath a
cherry tree, or an apple, or any flowering shrub
of the garden, is an excellent place to bury a
good cat. For beneath such trees, such shrubs, he
slept in the drowsy summer, or chased bees, or
lifted head to challenge some winged intruder.
These are good places, in life or in death.
For if the cat be well remembered, if sometimes he
leaps through your dreams actual as in life, eyes
kindling, questing, asking, laughing, begging, it
matters not at all where that cat sleeps at long
and at last. On a hill where the wind is unrebuked
and the trees are roaring, or beside a stream he
knew in kittenhood, or somewhere in the flatness
of a pasture land, where the most exhilarating
moles burrow. It is all one to the cat, and all
one to you, and nothing is gained, and nothing
lost -- if memory lives. But there is one best
place to bury a cat. One place that is best of
all.
If you bury him in this spot, the secret of which
you must already have guessed, he will come to you
when you call -- come to you over the grim, dim
frontiers of death, and down the well-remembered
path, and to your side again. And though you call
a dozen living cats, they shall not hiss at him,
nor resent his coming, for he is yours and he
belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade
of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no mew
pitched too fine for mere audition, people who may
never really have had a cat. Smile at them then,
for you shall know something that is hidden from
them, and which is well worth the knowing.
The one best place to bury a good cat is in the
heart of his owner.
by Ben Hur Lampman, Portland Oregonian, 1921
My meowmie whole heartedly agrees! In fact, that is where she buried me...
That's all fur now!

"If tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand.
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for
So much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all that we shared
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things
I might miss some tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates
I felt so much at home,
When God looked down and smiled at me
From His great golden throne.
He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow
But today will always last,
And since each day is the same way
There's no longing for the past.
So when tomorrow starts without me
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me
I'm right here, in your heart...

Hello fur faces. Here is the Creation Story as it was told to me:
THE CREATION STORY
-On the first day of creation God created the cat.
-On the second day God created man to serve the cat.
-On the third day God created all the animals of earth to serve as potential food for the cat.
-On the fourth day God created honest toil so man could labor for the good of the cat.
-On the fifth day God created the sparkle ball so the cat might or might not play with it.
-On the sixth day God created veterinary science to keep the cat healthy and man broke.
-On the seventh day God tried to rest, but he had to scoop the litterbox.

I have been tagged by my Daddy (Buddy) and Tommy! Now, I have tagged you! Here are the instructions on how to play the Meme game:
The MeMe Game
THE RULES
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write about themselves (the seven random facts) as well as the rules in their diary. You need to select seven cats to tag and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment (via p-mail) telling them that they've been tagged and that they need to read your diary for more information.
MY SEVEN FACTS
1. I was just learning to eat dry cat kibbles (Meow Mix) when I died.
2. Ruby and I were half sister and half brother.
3. I was scared of going for rides in the car.
4. I thought that my human Mommy was my real Mommy.
5. For the furst few weeks of coming to my furever home, I used to go to
work with Mom and Dad so I wouldn't get lonely.
6. I was a feral kitten, and I was terrified of humans until I met my furever
Mommy and Daddy.
7. Whenever I slept, I had to have some part of my body touching my
Meowmie. This made me feel secure and I slept like a baby.

Hello fur babies. The best thing in the world happened to me at the end of last year (2006). Muffy's husband, the wonderful Buddy, announced at their wedding on December 9th, that he wanted to adopt me....now I have a Mommy (Muffy) AND a Daddy (Buddy)!!! We have our very own fur family! After they got married and went on their honeymoon, they came back to our new home. I had spent the week that they were on their honeymoon with Auntie Autumn and Uncle Gato at their house. They gave me my very own bedroom complete with a race car bed! Anyway, after Mommy and Daddy got back from their trip, and I came back from Uncle Gato's and Auntie Autumn's, we moved our little family into our new home near the ocean. We needed to live close by the water so that we could take the sail boat that Gato and Autumn gave Daddy out onto the water whenever we wanted to. Uncle Gato had even given Daddy sail boat steering lessons so that he could be the Captain of our sail boat! Daddy is very good at steering the sail boat, and he even lets me steer a little while when it is safe for me to do so. Uncle Gato lets me steer his sail boat and his speed boat a little bit too. That's because I am such a big boy now!
I am proud to have Buddy as my Daddy! Drop by our new house and visit with us any time that you want to, k?

Hello fur faces. I haven't said anything in here in a very long time, so let's get to it!
Two very nice things are new in my life....one is: I took little miss Bunny for a car ride last Sunday August 27th. We drove up into the mountains. We got there pretty quick because Bunny said that it was okay if I wanted to drive faster than normal....so we sped up the mountain, taking in all of the beautiful scenery on our way. We saw some really huge redwood trees on our car trip. They were as big as a house! Also, while we were on our way, a pretty little butterfly flew inside of the car and landed on the brim of Bunny's straw hat. She looked so cute with it sitting there, that I stopped the car, took my camera out of the back seat, and took a picture of Bunny and her new friend. I hope that the photo turns out good, because I would like to make a copy of it and give it to Miss Bunny. After that, I started the car back up, and away we went. It was just a hop, skip, and a jump away to the mountain rest stop. We parked in the shade at the road side rest stop. Then Bunny and I spread a blanket out under some pine trees. After that, I took the picnic basket out of the car trunk and brought it over and set it on the blanket right next to Bunny. We both looked inside of it with anticipation. Muffy had packed us another wonderful picnic lunch! Inside were corn dogs (a favorite of Buddy's and mine), salmon burgers, and potato chips to eat. We also had catnip sodas and chilled tuna juice to drink with the meal. Bunny and I talked while we ate our sumptious picnic lunch. After we finished our lunch, I looked inside of the basket to see what my sister had packed for us for dessert. Inside of the frozen compartment was trout ice cream with salmon sprinkles, and angel food cake! Muffy remembered how much we loved the treats at the ice cream social, so that is what she made us for dessert! She sure knows what we like...Bunny and I didn't waste any time devouring our sweet treats. It was getting late, so after eating our picnic lunch, we packed everything up and put it in the car. Then after a quick stretch, we got back into the car and headed home to the Bridge. I had a great time with Miss Bunny and would like to go with her for a ride again some day.
The second thing is this: My sister Muffy and the wonderful Buddy are getting married! This is the best news ever! I adore Buddy. I can't wait to have our own little family. They haven't set a date yet, but it can't be soon enough for me! I wish it were today.
Well, that's all that is new with me fur babies....stay tuned for wedding news....

Hello fur babies! I took my best friend Baby, and his friend Maggie on a ride two days ago. My new friend Bunny was also supposed to go, but she couldn't make it at the last minute. I drove from the Rainbow Bridge to the ocean. The car ran beautifully for the whole trip. Baby and Maggie had never ridden in a car before, and they really enjoyed the ride. As soon as we arrived at the ocean, we all ran and jumped into the water. We swam with the best of em! Maggie even did the back stroke! While we were swimming, we caught a sand crab...Baby and I looked at it quizically, but Maggie refused to touch it. She was afraid that it would pinch her with those big claws, so to put Maggie at ease, I released the crab back into the ocean. When we were tired of swimming, we ran up onto the beach to a sunny spot. There we unloaded the picnic basket that Muffy had packed for us. It contained: trout burgers, lobster puffs, corn dogs, and cheese dipped moths to eat. To drink we had catnip lemonade or cream. Baby brought some sardine kitty soda to drink also. Muffy also made some catnip brownies for dessert, and boy were they delicious! When we were done eating our feast, I drove Maggie back home to the Bridge and assured her that we could do this again anytime that she wants to. I had a really fun playdate with my friends! More later, when we have our next adventure fur friends!
Bye for now,
Blue
