The best thing about baby brothers...

...is their TOYS! Adam has so many toys for me to play with! My favorites are the balls - some are smaller, so I can carry them around with me. And some are big. You know those swirly-colored bouncy balls that they sell from cages in grocery stores? Those balls are the best! He loves them - loves to sit on them and bounce. But I like to sink my fangs into them. Unfortunately, after I do this, the ball isn't round and bouncy anymore. Hey, I wonder where these have been? I know he has some, but they're never laying around for me anymore...

Hmmm, a mystery! I'll have to find out where they're living now and sink my fangs into them again!

I heard something the other day...

I heard mom saying the name "Eileen..." This means that our pet sitter is coming to visit! Do you think they're taking a vacation?

I got a little nervous because the last time I heard Eileen it was because Baby Adam was in the hospital and Mom and Dad didn't know who would take care of us. But he was only in for one day and Mom came home to take care of us. I hope it's just a vacation this time. But I hope it's short! The quiet is great, don't get me wrong, but I do miss Mom and Dad (Baby Adam?...not so much...)

I was very sick...

So I have waited to tell this story because I didn't have a computer in the hospital and I have not felt very good lately, even after I came home.

But I was very sick two weeks ago. One day I started throwing up and I kept doing it and when Daddy noticed that I was vomiting blood, they threw me in the car and took me to the emergency vet torture place. I didn't have to stay overnight, but I had to go to my regular vet the next day and I DID have to stay overnight there! I was feeling really yucky and I didn't want to eat or drink anything because I couldn't keep it down. They even shaved my leg and put a tube in me!

Mommy and Daddy came to visit me and they brought me a blankie that had my brothers' smell on it and that was the best part of being there. But the regular vet didn't have weekend care, so they had to get me again and take me to the emergency place AGAIN for the weekend! I finally came home but I still felt pretty weak and I lived in the bathroom. Which was fine because my stupid "loving" brothers HISSED at me every time they saw me! I expected a big welcome and that's what I came home to.

So that's my story. I feel better now in my belly but now I have my annual sinus problem so now I sneeze all the time. Mommy says I have to be better by Wednesday because she's leaving then to have the new human brother. Trust me, I'd love to feel better today! And since they shoot yucky barfy medicine down my throat twice a day, I should feel better soon!

Mom Got to Come Home!!!

I have the best news ever. Mom came home! She actually got to leave the hospital two days before Christmas so we had a GREAT Christmas after all! We didn't think she'd get to come home at all before the human kitten was born (he's due 2/12) but she seemed to be doing OK so the doctors let her come home.

And the best part is that she's not allowed to go back to work. So she's home with us all day every day.

At first I was stuck to her like velcro, especially that first night when I kneaded her constantly and didn't move from the side of her face. But now I'm acting normal again...

Thank you to everycat who sent rosettes and messges. And I'm sorry I couldn't find the time to thank everycat personally. I just got a lot more Catster stuff done before when she was at work everyday!

Sorry if I missed you!

I just wanted to take a minute to apologize to any kitties who have not heard from me in awhile. My mom is the one who helps me with Catster and she's been really busy. She was in the hospital for a few days (but now she's fine and the human kitten brother that she's growing is fine too) but she's been working really hard at work so that she can go on something called maternity leave. I don't know what that is, but I think it means that she's going to be home with us during the day! So if working hard now means more time to cuddle with my mom, I'm all for it.

So I'm sorry if I missed thanking anyone for a rosette or if I didn't respond quickly to something, but hopefully I'll do better now.

I hope that all of my friends had great Thanksgivings!

Here's more to love about me!

So everyone else is doing the middle name meme, so here's mine!

G - Great kneader! I am a fantastic kneader and could knead all night. I knead Mommy anywhere - arm, belly, cheek, mouth, throat, etc. She loves it. I think.

O - Open - I love open windows and doors so that I can peer out.

O - Outside - I like to see the outside but I don't like to visit it in the stroller!

S - Sniffing - I like to sniff guests very thoroughly to see where they've been and learn more about them!

E - Enjoying my daddy time - I have really bonded with Daddy recently and he now pets me in the bathtub. So I wait in the bathroom and when I hear him coming up the stairs, I jump into the tub for my pets. I purr really loudly and wrap him even more around my little paw.

Guess what!

I'm going to be a Big Sister! I'm pretty excited, because Mommy and Daddy are going to bring home a human kitten in February. Mommy tells me that the kitten is in her tummy, but that seems silly, because Mommy wouldn't eat my new brother or sister. So I'm not sure why she's teasing me like that.

But I do know that I want my baby sibling to be a GIRL! We already have too many boys in the house, and if my sibiling is a girl, it would be even again (the way it was before STEVIE came to live here.

So do the girl dance for me, OK? And I also think that a sister would pull my tail less later on too. Girl, girl, girl, girl!!!!!

7 things about me...

I've been tagged by my great friend Munky to do the 7 things about me meme. I'm a little late, 'cause Mom and Dad were in California, so I'll have to see who's left to tag!

1) I love to knead, but will only do it to Mom. In the middle of the night, I'll knead anything that's exposed from the covers - face, mouth, eyes, etc.

2) I love to hang out in sinks and like to play in the water when it's turned on.

3) I have a very loud purr, and use it often when I'm being petted!

4) I'm always the first one down the stairs to greet guests at the door and I like to attend my parents' parties.

5) When Mom or Dad say "awww, Lucy" in a funny voice, I drop to the floor and start rolling around.

6) I love to snuggle with my brothers - and I clean them too!

7) I like to jump and leap and chase the feathers on my feather wand. Sometimes the big oaf Stevie gets in my way and doesn't let me play, so Mom will take me into another room and shut the door so I can really play.

13 Things about Mommy

Stevie was motivated to write 13 things about our daddy, so I thought I'd write 13 about Mommy!

1) Mommy loves to watch 80's movies. Some of her favorites are Spaceballs the Movie, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Adventures in Babysitting and Can't Buy Me Love.
2) Because she's watched them so many times, she can recite the lines to the above movies while the actors are saying them. This is very annoying.
3) She's 23 days older (and wiser) than Daddy, and he won't let her forget it. This is very annoying.
4) She has been fortunate to be able to travel a lot in her life. She has been to Spain, France, Italy, Monaco, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Kitts, Montserrat and many great places in the United States and Canada. San Francisco is next! Then, maybe Curacao.
5) She likes to spend money. See #4. She also likes to spend money on shoes, clothes, home furnishings and landscaping. Daddy does not like to spend money.
6) Bitey and I love to knead her. We only knead her - not Daddy and not each other or a blanket or anything else. Bitey kneads every night before bed. I knead while she's sleeping.
7) She loves to swim and started swimming when she fell into her grandparents' pool at age one. We have a pool in our backyard and she loves it.
8) She also loves to dance, but she's not so great at it. She talked Daddy into taking ballroom dancing classes and they now know: swing, foxtrot, tango, cha-cha, mambo, rhumba and waltz.
9) She grew up riding horses and used took riding lessons from age 9 through 18. She used to be able to go over big jumps, but she can't do more than trot and canter now because she's really out of practice and out of muscles!
10) She works as a marketing director for a credit union and she's the president of the PA Public Relations Society. She gets to run meetings - I feel bad for the members - when Mommy gets a microphone, she thinks she's funny...
11) She grew up with an older furry brother. He was a cat and his name was Hooker. And yes, I said "his" name. Long story.
12) She was president of her sorority in college. She likes to be president of things - I guess she's just bossy.
13) She talked Daddy into adopting Bitey, Stevie and me and we love her for that! She loves us lots and lots.
