Silver-Patched Tabby

Alien Space Invaders (gum wrappers or anything that makes a crinkly noise), waking mommy for attention, stalking things, running water

Alien Space Invaders, being picked up (ew!), air, spray bottles, plastic bags

Favorite Toy:
Alien Space Invaders (they make her sooo mad), string, krinkly toys, pop poms, birds, laser pointer

Favorite Nap Spot:
Wherever Mommy is napping - next to mommy's pillow or on the couch. If mommy isn't napping, under the bed is the next best place.

Favorite Food:
Solid Gold, raw turkey, lamb or turkey jerky (rare for allergic kitty), dustballs, anything that can fit in her mouth and shouldn't be there.

Getting sick (she's allergic to something common, like dust or air), Waking Mummy Up, making mommy laugh til it hurts

Arrival Story:
My ex and I stopped at a shelter one day, Just To Visit... we liked some adult cats, but we decided to stop in the Kitten room, too, with the knowledge that if we went in, we'd come out with a kitten. Lo, and behold, we came out with The Cute. Kitten has moved with Mommy everywhere, including from Maine to California.

Kitten was extremely malnourished when we got her, and never managed to grow past the size of a 6-9 month old kitten (hence her name). She became blind in one eye and so has no depth perception, so she always lands with a THUD. We suspect she is brain damaged, because she makes a particular meow when she's looking for Mommy, but she does it facing the wall or ceiling, even if I am next to her petting her. She's allergic to something common, so she goes to the vet every month to two months when she has a breakout for a cortisone shot; we've accepted the knowledge that she might not live to an old age, but our commitment is to making sure she is happy and comfortable for all of it. She sleeps next to my pillow every single night. Because she sees the world differently than we do, she is always doing things that make us laugh hysterically, such as running away with a sort of load of poo in pants type movement, twitching extensively when very excited, and touching things in an insane way. When she was very little, she nursed on my ear obsessively. I'd go with Kitten over to a friend's house who had a baby, and we'd nurse our babies together. The noise irritated my ex, though, and he trained her to stop it. Kitten went for an adventure outside one day without Mommy knowing about it, and got herself lost for 18 hours. We found her in the back of the barn huddled under some boxes of Momny's Old Stuff, too scared to open her eyes. Now she only goes to the door when there are birds on the other side, and she attacks the glass thinking she can get through it.

Sooo, today I was a DVD. Yes I know it sounds strange, but I become whatever I am sitting next to. So, I went and nextled myself on the bottom shelf of the dvds, and blended in so the birdies outside couldn't see me. I then proceeded to stalk them for two hours, while Mom and Dad and my annoying brother Erland were in the other room watching telly. When Dad was getting ready to go to work, we all went out to the living room, where I sat on the ice chest and became a Strange Cross Between an Ice Chest, Cell Phone (which happened to be sitting on ice chest), and Belt (there was one hanging from the coat rack nearby...).
What can I say? I am the Master of Disguise.

I miss my mommy!

Mooooommy!! I haven't been petted in *ages*

*comment from Erland: Kitten, Mom petted you for 20 minutes by following you around the house about 40 minutes ago!*

I know, I'll go eat an elastic string like the one Erland ate off his fishing toy, and it went through but didn't *quite* make it out his back end, and Mommy had to pull it out! That will get her attention!

*comment from Erland: KITTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
