a present from Grandma

I just got the most beautiful present from Grandma. It is a rhinestone "L" charm and it is just so pretty. Plus I am the only one who got a gift because I am the favorite. Mommy put the charm on my collar and it dangles and clicks against my name tag and bells and other charm and makes a great sound that is all mine. When the sun hits it is shiny and I can chase the spots on the carpet, who would have thought I would have gotten something to play with too in this deal. I am the luckiest little cat.

special time with Mommy

I have noticed that I am not as grumpy as I used to be. I am even getting along better with the other kids. I actually do not even dislike some of them anymore. I think it is because Mommy is spending special time with just me. She knew how much I disliked sharing her with all the other kids, and she has always spent time with just me before, but now it is even better. We even took a ride to Grandpa, Grandma's and Uncle Dan's. Too bad I screamed almost the entire way because I was sure it was a trip to the vet. I was a little nervous, but everyone was very proud of me and the fact that I did not try to beat up my cousins. I hid under Uncle Dan's bed for a while, but then Mom pulled me out and I hung out with her in the hallway and got loved by everyone. Almost everyday now mommy and me have special cuddle sessions....we talk more and I clean her face more. I am much happier and I know that means the most to her.

not just a bean

I think the others around here better get a clue as to what being the BEAN really means. I am Mom's favorite!!!! Whether she says so or not; I know it and think it. It is the way she calls me Bean that makes me more than whatever an actual bean really is. I am known as Bean to her friends, to our family; the others' nickname's do not even evoke acknowledgement. The Bean is loved and cherished. The Bean is extraordinary and extra-special. I am not just any bean.
