Arrival Story:
I'm a volunteer at the local shelter and I had been waiting for the occasion to adopt a little fella; however, my previous landlord didn't allow pets. As we moved into a new apartment I knew the time has finally come. On a Sunday afternoon I decided to take the big step and I went to the shelter with the intention of adopting a black cat. As I was walking around the kennels I saw a pair of beautiful golden and greenish eyes following me. I approached the silver handsome kitten and he gave me his sweetest look. I held him and there was an instant connection! He was purring and asking me to pet him. At that very moment I knew I had been charmed by Merlin and he was coming home with me!

I love watching mom using her laptop. I always sit on her lap staring at the screen and move the pointer using the trackpad, but she gently puts my paw away and says I'm a lil' rascal. I think that's funny, and I like to tease her, so I then look up and give her my sweetest purr while playing with her hair, until she pets me and calls me handsome fella. THEN, it's when I try to type something, but I can't quite figure out how to translate my meows and thoughts using those weird symbols on the screen.

During my first month living in my furever home I had some adapting to do. Mom wants me to eat healthy food, not the sort of fast food I was used to, so even though I love it, it made my tummy a bit upset for a few days. Now I feel better, but I'm always sooo hungry! I meow and meow and meooow, but mom thinks I'm goofy and I eat whatever is in front of me, to excess, so she feeds me several meals throughout the day and doesn't leave any food out.. Oh well, I know I'll be good, but I'm just a kitten and I wants moreeeeee!

I gotta say I'm really happy. I've got lots of toys and I play all day long. I especially love those feathered lil' mice; they're so much fun! I also like all the love and attention I get; I can barely remember my life before. Mom brushes me and I'm not sure I enjoy that. I kinda like it but the brush tickles a little bit, so I can't take it for very long.

I hope I can write on my diary often, but you know, I've got tons of napping, playing, eating, and exploring the apartment to do, so it might take me long… Although, hey, if you give me a couple of treats from the bag on the top cabinet, I'm sure I'll find on open spot in my schedule real soon *pretty pleeease, meoooow*
