Arrival Story:
It was my lifelong dream to own a persian. Turning 27 years old and losing my beloved dog a couple of months prior, I decided it was time to commit to a new companion. Phoebe comes from a cattery, which was hard for me to do because I am all about rescues. I never knew about Exotic Shorthairs, but when I saw "Glorya" (her previous name), I fell in love. She was a very expensive purchase, but she was so worth it! Owning a persian is very different from my previous cat experiences. She is stinky, insanely messy, super playful, loves to be held and cuddle... Even with her stinkiness and messiness, after owning an Exotic, I don't see myself ever having any other kind of cat but persians or exotics. This breed is awesome!

My mom has decided to name me Phoebe, for all my beauty and quirks. I am loving my new life. I am showing my mom all the excitement that persians have to offer!
I started out with some scary symptoms and momma was terrified! But, luckily, I am a healthy girl. My vet loves me and everyone thinks I am adorable! Playing is my favorite thing. I play until I am snuffly and exhausted. One time, I played so hard and got so excited that I ran into the footboard of momma's bed and I got a nose bleed. Momma was scared and called the vet but I was okay. I think she worries too much!
Every morning, my momma wakes up and I follow her around the apartment, chatting her ear off about everything. Then, she sits down and I crawl into her lap for cuddle time. She pets me and holds me and I purr away. After that, it's play time! My momma is a studious college student so she gets to spend lots of time with me! I keep her company while she studies and she takes lots of breaks to play with me. Momma says that she doesn't know how she ever owned any other kind of cat but a persian! I am a messy girl. I am stinky a lot of the time so momma grooms me and wipes me down every day. She keeps me smelling so good!
The best thing about my new life is my cat food! Momma buys me Fromm, Salmon Tunachovy and it is so delicious. Even when I have a full bowl, I scratch at the food bag because I can never have enough. The best part is, even when I am done eating, the pieces of the cat food are the funnest toys! They fly across the wood floor and I love to play with them for hours. The new food has made my fur so soft and it has helped my tummy upsets. My new life is awesome!
