Arrival Story: I spotted Jinxy online while helping a friend look to see if a cat she found had been reported missing. I dropped by the shelter and asked to visit her The moment she began to gently lick and chew on my fingers I knew I had been selected. She was still in the quarantine room due to an eye infection but was being released later that day. A few days later I was able to bring her home. After 5 months in the shelter living in the loose cat room, a couple bouts with viruses and eye infections, this beautiful lady was home. At first her meow was mostly silent. She still does this occasionally but she can be heard if she wants you to come and play with her. Her purr was soo loud it was startling. She had come into the shelter as a stray so we had no history but she clearly didn't care for being groomed in any fashion. She now accepts being combed, but only on my computer desk. Trimming those sharp nails requires two of us and a towel and lots of treats but she's getting better. She's very social when we have company, loves the grandchildren and my daughter's dog. That's when I realized she shouldn't be an only cat. Another adoption was going to have to take place.
