Arrival Story:
My friend "adopted" him, but I was fostering him before she was able to take him. She said it would be in one month. Rocky was just a kitten. He started to get sick soon after his arrival to the house, and, on what seemed to be his death-bed, underwent a battery of tests, including an MRI, which determined that he had a tumor on his brain. The only evidence of this is that he had been walking with his head cocked to one side. He was taken from the vet's office half dead, and was on a regimen of so many different medicines. It was horrible giving it all to him every day. But there were antibiotics and steroids, both of which buoyed him. The vets gave him 6-8 weeks max of a good life. Now here it is, nearly a year and a half later, and Rocky is a strong and flourishing cat. He beat the odds, true Rocky fashion. Having taken care of him during all his sick days, I wasn't about to turn him over to my friend, who had now gone three months without taking him. Rocky was my cat, that's all there was to it, and the friend agreed.
