Arrival Story:
Someone gave him to my son

Max was quite a cat! He loved to hold conversations with anybody who would talk to him. He would talk to you for hours, and we would get tired long before he did. Max loved life and everything thing in it. In the spring of 2000, he was hit by a car. The vet told us that he would live but would be blind and crippled on his left side, the rest of his life, and that we would have to keep him inside. We took him home and he was ok for 3 months, then he wanted to go out. He knew where everything was and could walk around as though he could see. He would just have a fit to go out. One day when my son came home from work, Max was waiting inside the door and when it opened, out he went! We tryed for an hour to catch him but he seemed to know when we would get close to him. He stayed out all night that night and we were so worried that something would happen to him but the next morning there he was sleeping on the front porch in the sun. Max lived 2 and a half years, inside and out, totally blind. We don't know how he did it, because he would go to the neighbor's house to visit her cats and be gone all day or all night. He had a beautiful very very long tail. He was our big boy and we miss him so much.
