Arrival Story: A co-worker rescued Roxy's mom outside our office and took her home. Shortly thereafter she found out that the cat was pregnant. (Meow!) Roxy's mom had 5 kittens on 8/31/11 and they all needed to find forever homes. Photos of the kitties were put up around our office and I am just a sucker for a cute face. I already had an adult female cat at home who was also a rescue but I adopted her when she was already over a year old. Her name is Zoey and she is part feral. I work very long hours and felt bad about leaving Zoey at home by herself for extended periods of time so decided to get her a friend and companion. Zoey is very territorial and wasn't thrilled having another cat in her space. It's been about 2 month since I adopted Roxy and Zoey is just beginning to warm up to her (at a distance). Although I don't think they will be great friends, at least they are beginning to play together. Roxy is 3 month old and is truly a real loving and affectionate kitty. Just the opposite of Zoey. But I love them both and am glad I was able to rescue both of these kitties and give them a wonderful forever home.
