Arrival Story:
After my wife moved to the U.S. from the Netherlands to marry me I thought she would like to have her own kitty. We decided to get a female because we already had a five year old male and he was EXTREMELY unfriendly toward other cats. Pumpkin came from a litter in Mt. Vernon, IA. She was the only girl in the litter, she had a lot of orange brothers!

Bio:
On the kitty complexion I picked toward the "timid" side however she is not timid at all she is just unfriendly lol. Pumpkin is more of a loner cat and while she can be affectionate it is when she wants to be and for as long as she wants to be. She is not shy at all, she is generally around us she is just not big on the touching. She generally is not aggressive or a hisser except at the moment she is a bit annoyed at the three kittens! Pumpkin does like our golden retriever Cookie quite well, they are pretty good friends :) She is an orange and black tortie, there was no option to choose that in the physical characteristics, she had fairly unique coloring. MY Pumpkin pet peeve is she REALLY tries to get outside anytime I open a door, I've had to chase after her to bring her back quite a few times. Sometimes she will stop trying to get out for weeks on end so I drop my guard and them BAM out the door she goes lol. When she was 3 months old she managed to get out when we left for work at 3am, when we got home we couldn't find her. She had crawled up into a tree (way up) and couldn't get down. The fire department came and got her out for us, the story made it into the paper! Somehow I did not receive a bill for that :)
