My name is Roger, and I am a scaredy cat. I'm scared of everything. That shows good sense, if you ask me.

My Mom is annoyed by this characteristic of mine. But really, who cares? Let me explain:

When Mom wakes up in the morning, I am a lovey-dovey boy. Then she takes off her jammies and I head under the bed. Just picture the visual of a fat old lady with no clothes. Under the bed is where we ALL belong.

While she is in the shower I come out and hang out with her while she dresses and brushes her teeth. When she puts on her shoes, it's back under the bed. Shoes and the vet go hand in hand, so that is definitely a time to hide.

When she leaves for work, I hide under a chair so I can watch her leave so I know I'm safe. If she comes back in the house for any reason, I race to the bedroom and scoot under the bed.

When she comes home from work, I hide under the bed, in case she's thinking of an afternoon vet visit. If she tries to grab me and stuff me in the stroller for a walk, I hide under the bed.

If anyone comes to our house, I head straight for the bed. Where ELSE would a self-respecting scaredy cat be?

My Mom says she hates this part of my personality and says: "He's no Arnold". Mr. Arnold must have been very brave.

But I think I'm smart, because you can never be too careful. And you can never know when some horror will overtake you. What do YOU think?

I'm like you, Roger, except I don't mind seeing the MRS. naked. When you're 3 years old, you'll like seeing your Mom naked too!

I always hide when strangers come over - it just makes sense!

I am dai$y, I am nine....never mind my weight...and in my whole entire life, vet excluded, only three people have actually seen me....I dont like the countless other invaders into my domain..I dont like boomer, but what's a gal to do....I dont really like the 3 people, but I do need food as I've yet to figure out how to open the refrigerator....I do like myself and I always shall, as it IS all about me.....I am dai$y, I am nine, I am a scadey cat too, and proud of it...( call me, we can plot ....stuff )

Im scared sometimes, and I think that is okay. If your scared more than than me that is ok too.

Sounds like you are smart to me too. Nothin' wrong with getting under the bed and nobody gets close to me with shoes on!
I am sorry you have to go to the vet a lot. That scares me too. My fur falls out at the vet. Does that happen to you too?

You sound a lot like one of meowmy and daddy's very furst kitties, a big furry domestic long hair shelter rescue they adopted 39 years ago. He was a big sweetheart, but also a big scardey cat. We ended up having to rename him, since the shelter had mis-identified his gender, and for a big chicken kitty the obvious name was Colonel Sanders. BTW, he is one beautiful kitty!
