The weekend stayed pretty wet and windy. We didn't mind. We played games indoors and then we all watched a film called Coraline. It is all about a brave and handsome cat. Mum seemed to think it is about a girl called Coraline but I don't think she can have been following the plot properly. The cat was far more important.
Anyway then we all went to bed. When it is stormy out we like mum to make herself into an S. Josie curls up by mum's arms so she can get the headrubs and I like to sleep in the bend of mum's knees. That way we all get maximum mum contact. And we thought about all the poor kitties who don't have warm beds and loving homes on scary nights.
One such cat lives very near us. When her family moved in they brought her but they do not let her indoors at all. They also have not had her spayed but kittens do not stand much chance round here if they aren't safe indoors. Everyone has been very worried about her and her little family - everyone except her own people that is. Paul, next door, even fixed it with his vet that they would spay her for free, all they had to do was take her but they just didn't seem to care.
Mum saw Victoria from next door yesterday and Victoria said that it looks like the family have been even worse. It looks like they have moved away and left their cat behind. The flat is 'To Let' and vans have come and gone.
The little cat has been going next door for food. She has been coming more and more regularly. She has been outdoors so much she is wary of people but Victoria is hopeful that in time she will learn to trust them and maybe they can give her a furever home. Maybe she will bring the kittens along too and they can all be found good homes.
So we are purring for the little cat as if she does move in next door she will have a very happy life and she will be loved and taken good care of (and spayed!) so we hope that she can trust people again and know that some people are very kind to cats. They know it will take a lot of love and patience but for a cat in need they have plenty of that.

My greatest wish in life is that all cats have a loving furever home. I know what it's like to be loved and have a good life but it saddens me that's not the case for all cats.
I am purring for this cat that she too may learn to trust humans enough to find love and furever home.
How sad! We're purring that all turns out well for Victoria and she soon has a new and loving home with the neighbors.
so awful how some peeps treat their kittie ( and pups) purring for a happy ending for this poor little moma kitty.
Hoping she soon gets to have the dream home with your neighbor and many thanks to her for giving her food in the meantime. stories like this make my mommy so sad, especially with the warmer weather starting, there will be many kittens without a home. mommy has already encountered the first litter of abandoned kittens this season and she has tried her best but 4 of the 5 kitties have crossed Rainbow Bridge in the past few days.
Oh how sad! It is so nice of Victoria to give this momma kitty and her kittens a great forever home, and shower them with love and affection. You and I are SO LUCKY to have good forever homes and loving humans, but not efurry kitty has it as good as us. I feel sorry for the kitties that nefur know a head scratch or a belly rub, and they nefur get food on a regular basis. We are praying for this little momma kitty and her kittens. May she learn to trust Victoria and ofur humans...not all of them are as uncaring as her previous owners!
Sending purrs to that kitty.
Oh poor little kitty. People are just awful sometimes. My first people moved away but at least they had the decency to drop me off at the Rescue League and that's where Mom got me. We're purring that little kitty can be trapped and spayed soon. Probably can't spay her now anyway because she needs the milk for the kitties. The vet would know. Purrs Purrs.
Happy Diary Pick Toby, on April 30 - this must be the winning diary!
And we said a little prayer for the kitty and her kittens. It sounds like Victoria and Paul are both nice people to have next door and it's likely no trouble to them to help out these kitties. I think it's going to work out really well for the little kitty and her babies!
