It has rained all week now. Actually ever since my mum cut the grass. Mum says it's good as we are in a drought and need the rain but I don't need the rain. I don't like to get my fur wet. So we have to play indoors.
Luckily my mum has given me a new toy, it's a swirly track with a ball in to chase. Josie says she rather thinks she's seen it before but I don't remember. One day a few months ago half our toys vanished - which did give us more running about room and Josie thinks mum has brought one out again for me. But I think it's new and have been having loads of fun with it.
I also found a toy of my own. Mum said it's a spinach leaf not a toy but it's my spinach leaf and if I say it's a toy then it's a toy. I have enjoyed carrying the green menace around and attacking it. I have now hidden it as mum was threatening to put it on the compost.
Mum hasn't gone to work today. I expect she realised we needed extra playtime on account of the bad weather and is staying home to entertain us. Excellent!

My mum doesn't do it as often as I would like but I cherish the times we are together for the day. You have interesting toys. I thought our humans ate spinach not played with it.
