Last Friday my mum came home and she was sad. On the day Henry went to the Bridge she couldn't go to work. Her friend Annie (who gets to live with crafty dog Poppy) took all the pictures of Henry off my mum's desk because she knew they would upset my mum when she went back.
Months later when I had done some magic on my mum and she was feeling stronger she asked for them back. Annie gave them back but could not find one thing which was mum's calendar which she had made with pictures of Henry and Josie on.
They have had a big shuffle up at work and Annie cleared her desk on Friday and found the calendar and gave it to my mum - open at March as that is when he went.
My mum wasn't expecting that and she saw the pictures and rememebered and she came home very upset. And she said next weekend it would be one year since he went and that would be a sad day.
We see Henry quite a bit and we knew mum had the date wrong and Josie gave mum lots of extra purrs and affection - and has kept that up and I know my mad things make mum laugh so I did lots of those so we looked after her in our own way so when she realised she would be OK.
Then yesterday she looked at the beautiful rainbows that his friends had sent him and she realised then and she cried and she said about how we had such a happy sunny day when we should have been sad and I said that Henry wanted it that way. He loved his life and he wants my mum to be happy. That's why he chose me to make her smile again.
My mum misses Henry every day and often tells me stories of his adventures. But we know he is mostly at the Bridge with his Catster friends except when he pops down to give me instructions for care of our mum.
He told me to love my life too - but never never to go near the road and I never do.

The road can be a dangerous place. I know Henry is looking down on you and your mom.
Toby, sweetie, that is a VERY important lesson to learn, so you really listen to Henry and NEVER venture near the road, ok?
Other than that Henry told me you are doing quite well and he´s very happy with you. We are friends at the bridge, you know?
I remember how horribly sad my mom was when I passed away so unexpectedly, so I know that your task is truly herculean. But you have Josie to help.
Check your boxes, you two, there may just be something to help keep up your strength.
Henry was a great mate to me while he was on earth and I now consider him a great angel mate. I'm glad you're listening to Henry about not going near the road and I know that would make your mum happy too. Sorry I missed Henry's bridge day. He may be gone but I will never forget him.
