Yesterday evening my mum said she wanted to clear out some drawers and while I wasn't sure exactly what that would entail I thought she would like the company. Some of the drawers were a bit dull but one was full of entertainment potential.
It contained pens and paper clips and dandy things like that, just all thrown in as a magical mixture. Mum tipped everything on the floor and we went through to see what still worked and what should be thrown away. My favourite find was a marble which I enjoyed chasing until my mum took it off me. She was afraid I might try and swallow it - how foolish does she think I am?!
But I enjoyed flipping through the pens with my paw and a really great game where my mum put all the paperclips in a little pot and I fished them out again. That was fun although after a while my mum put the lid on the pot which was cheating.
Later we played some of my favouriet chase games (Oh - laser pointer, how I love you!) and I was all tired out at bedtime so I cuddled up with my mum so she could go to sleep to the sound of my purrs. I call that a pretty perfect evening!

That sounds like a wonderful evening! Your mom is lucky to have such a great helper!
Sounds like great fun. I purr my mum to sleep every night too. She loves it and misses me when I'm not there. Here is another great game you might want to try. Just for no apparent reason run up down and the hall way like a mad thing and then wait to see if your mum joins you in a game of chasey. My mum does sometimes but it still fun even if your human doesn't want to join in. Just make sure it really late.
That drawer sounds like fun to me. I wonder if my mom has one?
Concats on being a DDP today, I hope you have a great day.
Oh goodness there has been a marble in our Desk drawer, for years! Why do humans hide them from kitties so often!
My dad used to sleep to the sound of my purrs too; I purred loud and long. When I was quite young I slept at the end of his bed and purred and purred.
Happy Diary Pick today Toby!!
