OK, so they're gone again since last evening after dinner. Mama Cat showed up for breakfast without them, and then took off again and hasn't been back all day. What next?

Well, here's Mama C. wanting breakfast this AM. No kittens. This is very inconvenient for the pawrents. See, the thing is they had plans to catch her to take her in to the spay clinic in the early morning. It only happens once a month. The cost of the clinic is like one fourth of what taking her to our regular vet would be. The best case scenario would have been that Mama C. AND kittens would show up tonight to eat. Mama C. (who has already shown that she will walk into the propped-open trap to eat) would go to the food bowl first as usual, which would set off the trap. The kittens would scamper back into their little hidey-hole shelter, but probably not leave the area the next morning when the pawrents took her to the clinic. Doesn't look like it will happen that easily. SIGH. She could already be pregnant again...
