Not that we thank any of our friends need to know this, we all have such good kitty Mom's and Dad's but Mom says a refresher course is always a good thing. Mom also says she finds herself telling friends what she read in the Dogster and Catster newsletters all the time. She's even forwarded one or two. So something in here might be helpful to a friend.
Zoe, what a great reminder.......thank you. OMCats! Harley! I've missed you girl! I hope everything has been good on the home front. I know you guys have already had your Thanksgiving but there just might be something there for you. Zach I'm sorry but the rice isn't what we're worried about in that recipe. Rice is fine, we don't have a problem with it. SALT, CORN OIL AND SPINACH which we've made a point to say that it causes oxalate crystals in cats and remember our friend Max went to the bridge because he ate spinach? Corn oil is full of saturated fats which are NOT healthy for kitties and salt is definitely not good. Especially for the kidneys. Sorry! OOPS! I meant Zoe! MOL. Sorry mom is still half asleep. That's alright I'm here too. I completely forgot about the spinach thing already! You know Mom depleted some brain cells during her collage years so you have to forgive her forgetfulness! MOL and LOL! You know what I'll go back and fix the diary to say nothing is good in the recipe but the turkey giblets. See, that's why we love you...to keep us in line. And yes dear Lacey you can keep me in line....the line waiting for your heart! Just picking! I just can't help myself. MOL MOL, oh thank you Zach! We HATE to seem like we're always picking apart everything. Sometimes we wonder if we're just giant paints in the butt. But we don't want to see anything happen to you, your furry special family or any other kitty. We just love you too much. Ya know? And don't worry about brain cells, mom's are pretty much gone as well. I think they rolled under the sofa, MOL. Thanks Zoe.....I have missed you guys too....I know that you're Thanksgiving is so big......I look foward to celebrating with you guys.....Mom has a fantastic trip in Florida with her brother and sister-in-law that she has decided she'd going to go down every year at our Thanksgiving......she even won a bit of $ at the casino too:) You mean like whats-his-face in Peter Pan, losing his marbles? Actually, Mom has said time and time again, we which someone would do a website similar to yours for dogs. Oh btw, Mom did make print outs of the foods we can have and foods we can't have for Dad. And Mom sent the list of poisonous plants for us to several of her girlfriends. You know all of us gardeners love to bring flowers in but some really need to stay outside! Harley, did your Mom play the slots or tables? Mom did all this reading on how to win at roulette and blackjack but got intimidated by the whole scene out in Vegas. So, she passed. But our Mom won some money on the slot machines herself. She said she thanks it was like 160. bucks over a 6 day vacation... nothing to brag about but she did anyway. MOL! Zach that's pawsome! Glad to hear that you're doing those things. If we can help stop even one pet from getting poisoned at all, then we have done our job. It's rewarding to help others learn and know that they will do better for their babies. I hope someday someone does do a site for dogs. Mom can't do it, she's already got way too much to do still for our site and has even BIGGER plans for it. Alex has the unfortunate role of being a symbol for IBD. She may as well make sure no one forgets it and forgets about these awful diseases! So none of what she went through is in vain. Yes, like Peter Pan! MOL Mom won $370 on 2 slot machines.....oh it was so exciting while 1 machine was paying out she put $20 into the machine beside her and it paid out as well...Mom would love to play blackjack but the $10 mimimum is a little rich for her blood....she still remembers the days when she was in Vegas and played for 12 hours straight at tables that were $1 LOL maybe she just dated herself..... Harley that is so totally awesome! Glad she had fun with her family. We had family in town while you were gone and unfortunately it was like a scene in a movie. Some old sibling wounds were opened up by Mom's uncle and the family isn't on speaking terms AGAIN. Long story but Mom is fine with it cause that's what her Mom's family does, it's been like this as long as she remembers. AWWWWW the great American disfunctional family. Mol! We're a member of that club too! MOL Isn't it amazing....no matter how old you are when families get together it's like every one has regressed back to their childhood roles....... Mom and her brother went years without speaking so now it is just wonderful that they have a relationship again and I know that she cherishes that. Now Mom and her mom don't speak and haven't spoken in 20 years..dysfunction.....what can you say....it is what it is..... You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family. Okay. my first cousin Cathy and her kids were staying with us while Cathy's Mom, my aunt, was staying at grandmas house. Get this, after the blowup Cathy (the cousin) said that it was like her Mom was a kid again as soon as she walked in the house! That all the insecurities came back. That's crazy that you just said the same thing. Oh and My Mom isn't talking to grandma right now either, because grandma always sides with the instigating brother. Which I have zero use for myself, he's just a bad guy. Again, long story. Okay Harley, thanks! Cool Harley! You guys have more in common! My mommy has issues with her two older sisters. MOL. Aaahhh families. just a note of caution, when changing foods do it gradually because it seems every food has had recalls....but I believe in the grain free and my brother feeds his 2 jack russels and 4 cats the Orijen brand along with Evo it's been cool being allowed on the computer again.... gotta run though Mom has to pack has to be in Toronto this weekend for work.....all weekend:( It was so nice talking to you!
