Yesterday I was a Daily Diary Pick :D Thank you to everyone who gave gifts and sent messages and pictures :)
It's been a week since the scary stuff happened. The city is slowly trying to get back to normal. Nothing will ever be the same, though.
We heard that the fund set up by the Governor and the Mayor to help victims and their families has reached over $20 million :-O That's a lot of money. If anyone is interested in making a donation, you can go to The One Fund web site.
There is another fund for the transit officer who was seriously injured last Thursday night. That fund is here. You can read more about the transit officer here.
We hope everyone who was injured last week recovers. Many will have a long road ahead of them as they go through rehab and other services.

The police caught the crazy bad Human!

Scary stuff happened this week :-O First there was the bombings at the Boston Marathon near the finish line. Lots and lots of people were injured and 3 people were killed. Then last night more scary stuff happened :-O Two scary Humans tried to rob a store and then they killed a MIT police officer and then they stole a car and drove it to the town we live in :-O One bad Human was killed in a gunfight with police. The other bad Human is still on the loose :-O
Human tried to go to work this morning but a Human drove by to tell her what happened last night. All public transportation has been shut down. Human works a block from MIT where the scary stuff happened :-O Human called security at work to ask if the company was open and they said it was. Later the company sent out a robo-call to all employees saying the company was closed for the day.
Our town is completely locked down because the carzy bad Human is here somewhere. The police are looking in a specific area right now. We live on the other end of town but it's scary knowing that this is all happening here. We can see helicotpers in the distance over the search area and we can occasionally hear police sirens.
We hope the police find the crazy bad Human and put him in jail for a long time.

A bunch of us at the Brusselball group here on Catster had a birthday party this week for Edgar. He turned 17! :-O He's a very Old Furt.
A lot friends came to party, old friends and new friends :-D We had so much fun that some of us later decided to have another party, one called a "whatever party" mol. No special reason or occasion is needed to have a whatever party.
We decided to have the whatever party next weekend, Jan. 18 to 20 starting at 8pm east coast time and going all night long.... or whenever the Humans get sleepy mol. The party will be at the Brusselball group, http://www.catster.com/group/Brusselball-10047 The group is open to everyone.

Merry Christmas! Thank you to all the nice Catster friends who gave us rosies and gifts and sent cards in the mail!
Catster gave me a nice gift today: I'm COTD! I think this is the second time that I have beeb COTD. Thank to to everyone who gave me rosies and gifts!
Toaster is jealous because I'm COTD. Maybe one day Toaster will be COTD.
The doctor broke Toaster on Thursday :-O We had to see the doctor for a check up and shots. We like our doctor. He was the big orange guy's doctor, too. I enjoyed the visit but didn't like it when the doctor squeezed my boy parts and made stinky goo come out :-O I only needed one shot but Toaster needed two. The shots made us both sleepy afterwards. Toaster stayed sleepy until Friday afternoon. I guess the two shots made her feel really icky. She didn't want to move or eat. A broken Toaster is no fun to play with :(
Toaster is all better now :) I pawed at her with my fix-it kit and the big orange guy helped, too.
*Emma whacks Leroy on the head* I'm not a toaster and I don't need to be fixed with stuff in a toolbox :-/
