A kitty on the football forum requested pics. I posted there, but just in case you can't find the post, here are a couple of links to Mommy's ultrasound pictures at 9 weeks.

After years of trying and so many tears, my dorks (that's what I lovingly call Mommy and Daddy) have finally done it. Mommy is pregnant and the little dorklet is due August 26, 2011!
I'm happy for the dorks, but yet, at the same time.....I'm a bit worried. You see, I'm different from many cats because I was rescued directly off the street, not from a group or shelter where at least you have a roof over your head and food in your bowl. I was freezing, injured, starving and scared when I showed up at Mommy's doorstep. She took me in despite Roxanne's strong opposition, and I got REALLY emotionally attached. She hadn't met Daddy yet (this was nine years ago!) so Mommy was my only warm lap.
To this day I still sleep right next to her - under the covers, every night! I follow her around a lot and sometimes I cry when she leaves the house. I sure hope Mommy and Daddy will still love me after the dorklet arrives :(

And it's about time I put something in my diary. Geez, you'd think nothing happened to me for two years! Thank you, my dear friend Cole, for the motvation.
Here's how it works:
The rules: Each player picks seven random facts about themselves, and writes the seven things and the rules in their own diary. Next choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Send the seven cats you chose a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.
And now for my seven random facts:
I arrived at my Mommy's with an ugly green-and-red yarn collar.
I snuggle under the covers with Mommy every night. (I call it my Mommy time)
I had an eye infection once.
I have no stranger anxiety.
I didn't used to have a red streak across my cheeck, but I'm developing one now. My late sister Roxanne had one and I understand this is quite desirable in torties.
I love getting my back scratched.
I was catster's Cat of the Day on March 3rd, 2005. This was forums were available on catster, and my dorks didn't check their email that day (that ONE day) - so I never knew until it was too late :(
I will now tag the following cats, in no particular order:
Athena
Jacques
Gysmo
Toulouse
Sophie
Mercy
B lade
Heeheee..............

So, the other night Mommy sets the clock back one hour. And the next day, she wonders why I'm asking for my food when the clock said it wasn't my usual feeding time!
I don't care what the stupid clock says! I was hungry! The clock in my tummy didn't get turned back :(

SO.......Mommy and Daddy went to Canaveral National Seashore wildlife refuge over the weekend to see what's called a turtle watch. See, that area of the Atlantic coast is reserved sea turtle nesting. Sea turtles lay come out of the ocean, lay their eggs in the sand and cover them, where they stay for a couple of months before the baby turtles hatch and go into the ocean. At a turtle watch, humans get to actually witness the whole nesting process, late at night. It's a wonderful thing to watch, I'm told.
Conditions on the beaches open to the public are threatening the safety of the turtle's eggs, making them an endangered species. Among othet things, raccoons (who come by to raid garbage cans after campers leave) have noticed the turtle eggs, and want to eat them, too!
So, the Dept of the Interior is protecting the nesting sites. After a turtle nests, they cover the sand over the nest with a mesh thing to keep the raccoons out (the spaces in the mesh are big enough for teh baby turtles to come through when they hatch). Then, they put a big stake in the sand to mark the nest so they can watch it. They write some info on it so they can track the nest, and they give the turtle a name....and that's where I come in!
After the turtle went back in the ocean and the nest was covered, the park ranger asked the humans to come up with a girls' name for the turtle. A couple of names were said, but they were already taken. Then Mommy blurted out "ZOE". The ranger said "Hmmmm, we never had a Zoe before. OK, we'll call her Zoe". I have a sea turtle named after ME!
The only bad thing was, Mommy realized soon after that she should have suggested Roxanne's name, in memory of my sister, but it was too late. She still feels horrible that she didn't think of it. But there's nothing she can do now....maybe they already had a Roxanne?

It's been two weeks since Miranda came to live with us, and I guess she's OK. I still have to hiss at her now and then - like when she follows me to Roxanne's old hiding place where I like to go and remember her, or when she pushes in front of me at my food bowl - but overall, she's not too bad.
For the first few days, I was really ticked off at the dorks for bringing her to my house. I refused to sleep with them or even let them pet me.
After that, I was down in the dumps. I didn't write this in my diary (didn't have the energy) but for several days I wouldn't get out of my kitty bed except to used the litter box. I didn't want to eat (that is SO not like me), and I just laid there with my chin on the floor. And I spent more time than usual at Roxanne's hding place.
But I feel better now. Miranda and I play sometimes, and I have to admit it's kinda fun.

OK, OK, she's not that bad! I guess. She lets me ignore her most of the time.
Y'know, I'm trying to be patient with her, really. I don't even get PO'd when she eats out of my bowl! (If someone did that to my Aunt Debbie's cat, he'd rip them apart).
But Miranda must think that means that I don't want my space, 'cause every day she tries to come a little closer. It's really irritating when she does this while I'm in Roxanne's old spot. I am not to be disturbed when I am in mourning.
Oh, well.....I'm gonna take a nap now

So today the dorks went out looking for houses, and they were really late coming home. Ok, whatever. But when they finally showed up, I knew something was wrong...first Mommy comes in, and she's talking to me really sweet like she knows I'm gonna be ticked off. And she was right.
Then Daddy walks in, holding ANOTHER KITTY....and brings it into MY HOUSE. She has these weird huge color patches and long hair, and she had the nerve to try to be friendly to me! Is she kidding??? Did I mention this is my house?
OK, OK, I know I've been lonely and all. But seriously, I had Roxanne to play with, not this weird looking thing. Why,oh why, did Roxanne have to go to kitty heaven? Did I mention this is my house? Roxanne left it to me when she died.
Don't think I held it in....I hissed at Miss Longy-hair Calico many times. The dorks have her all set up in my bathroom so I don't have to look at her, at least. How nice.

Daddy had to sleep at the doctor's offfice last night..... Mommy said something about a sleep study. I don't know how the doctor put up with it, 'cause Daddy snores like a freight train. Man, he's so loud he used to scare the living daylights out of Roxanne - not that that's too difficult, she was scared of anything loud.
As much as I love daddy, it was great to have my part of the bed back! Roxanne wasn't too bad 'cause she didn't take up much space, but Daddy takes up half the bed! Usually I have to squish and squeeze myself in there, which is no small task, I tell you.....And so nice and quiet! Best of all, I didn't have to compete with Roxanne or Daddy for Mommy's attention. It was great!

OK, some background info.....I was homeless at one time, I weighed about six pounds when I adopted Mommy. I looked like a kitten with short legs and a short tail, but the vet said I was actually an undernourished adult (he could tell because all my adult teeth were in).
Undernourished is right.....more like STARVING! When I first met my future mommy, she was so nice I knew she'd feed me - that's why I chose her. And when I did, I ate....and ate.....and ate.....and ate...... I had to, I was a growing kitty with a LOT of catching up to do!
My late sister Roxanne was a grazer. She'd eat only a little at a time, leaving the rest of her food for ME! Yummmmmm.......she was so generous. She could afford to be, she never had to worry about where her next meal was coming from a day in her charmed little life.
OK, I 'll stop being "catty" (LOL, I love that word)...later, she developed kidney problems, and had to go on a special diet. It made her bony butt gain some much-needed weight, but she'd leave some of that for me, too. That was great, since Mommy had me on weight management crap. Like I said, she was generous, and sweet, I really do miss her.
Meanwhile, my weight went from six to thirteen pounds. I didn't care, it's not like I have to get into jeans like Mommy does, or go an a date (I'm spayed), but Mommy and Daddy cared. Something about "health"....The vet also said that because both of my hips are permanently dislocated (due to some meanie in a car before I adopted Mommy) my weight shouldn't get out of control, or I'd have too much strain on my hips....whatever, I never liked the vet anyway.
Two months after Roxanne went to kitty heaven, I had my annual checkup. Without Roxanne's food to steal (ooops, I mean finish), Mommy thought I would lose some weight, but I didn't. So she did some research, and she changed my diet.
So I get a lot more canned food now. See, in order to get the protein I need, I have to overeat the dry food. I don't even have to eat the WM food anymore, thank heavens...it has rice in it - YUCK!
I have lost a pound so far, and my face isn't so chubby now (this picture is old, my face got really wide later on). I'm LOOKIN' GOOOOOOD!!! I'm playing a lot more, too - I have so much energy now!
