Arrival Story:
Jack was born in North Carolina and bought with 3 litter-mates by a man who later moved to Florida, where he evidently gave up all 4 cats to a local shelter when he moved into a no-cats-allowed residence. I had just moved far from home and left my cat with my father, so I went to the shelter looking for a new kid to adopt. When I walked into the cat room, Jack screamed louder than all the other cats and reached his skinny arm through the bars of his cage to me. His litter-mates had already been quickly adopted but Jack was left because he had only one eye. I count myself lucky to find him- I adopted him on the spot!

To the best of my knowledge Jack's eye was surgically removed following a serious infection when he was young. The muscles in his face still work & he has minimal scaring.
