Hi everyone, mommy is crying. Her uncle that had MS and was in the hospital recently for a mild stroke, they diagnosed him also with lung cancer, he just died at home. Grammy and grampy are gone to their house now. Mom knows he was suffering but still...that was grammy's only sibling. Mom doesn't know how she's going to get to sleep early tonight now for her shot tomorrow morning. Ugh. Stupid full moon! We told you! That dumb thing makes things happen. Anyways, we just wanted to tell you guys in case mommy isn't on the computer much tomorrow. I gotta go give mommy some kisses.
From Finney's mommy: This isn't one of my better poems but it's fitting for tonight's developments. RIP uncle Ray! You can run and jump and soar through the clouds, fly anywhere and as fast as you want now. May you enjoy every star that shines on your beautiful soul:
Death has held it's grip on you
And now I see it's finally through
It took so long, I don't know why
I'm confused if I should smile or cry
The suffering you had to bare
We all know just wasn't fair
But thank the Lord you're now at peace
And all your pain has been released
You were an angel here on earth
We were so blessed to feel your worth
Rest, enjoy your life with God
We'll take comfort in knowing, you're watching us all
We'll meet again, of that I'm sure
I'm so glad I knew you on this side of the shore
We're really sorry about your bad news and hope your family has the smoothest adjustment possible under the circumstances. Luv, Tink & Snow
Thanks Tink. Mom knew this was coming but it still hurts. He was the type of person that was kind to a fault. It's not fair he had to suffer his whole life. Mom is just concerned about grammy right now. Why is it that the kindest most gentle people on this earth suffer so much?
We are so sorry for your Mommy.
Give her big big hugs and smoochies to make her
Thank you Biggles. Well I guess this makes the 3rd now doesn't it! First the 2 in June and mom was freaking out because things happen in three's. She didn't want it to be grammy or grampy. Now we know it's not but she still lost someone dear to her. Yet ANOTHER person very dear to her heart.
Oh no Finney! Gosh, we were just going to stop by Alex's other diary to celebrate with your family and then we saw this...:( We so very sorry and send condolences and soft purrs...
(WE'RE so very sorry. Mom keeps making typos. Sorry).
Oh Gumpy! Please do go and celebrate Alex! Mom needs that right now more than ever!!! She just added a poem to my diary above. MOL on the typos. Mom can't type worth beans! MOL
We are so sorry to hear about your Uncle. May it comfort you to know he is at peace now, not limited by his earthly body. Mom can't help but think about you saying how kind he was; despite his illnesses and pain and suffering. A person like that is an inspiration to us all. Purrs of comfort to you and your family.
Soft kitty purrs for your mama. Kitty purrs are good for healing. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr , purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Thank you Skylar. You are so very right. And mom does feel comfort that his horrible body that never did give him a good life here, is not a problem for him anymore. He definitely is an inspiration still. Makes mom feel guilty and ashamed for complaining about her back. We don't know now what the heck is going to happen tomorrow morning?! Mom is supposed to go and get her shot! They called and had a cancellation. Sheesh! Everything happens at once! Now mom is nervous to even do it tomorrow!
Peekie thank you! We'll take those soft purrs with a grateful heart.
Go do it anyway!!! Stress & depression make pain worse!
I agree with Tink. Get the shot because the next few days might be pretty tough, emotionally and physically, especially with being on your feet alot and all the extra activity.
That's true, we didn't think of that. She definitely doesn't need that. Right now her back and leg are throbbing!
Get it done...you will be glad you did it...well we mean your mom, MOL!
We are sad kind of here, too...and we liked that poem it is nice to read things like that during times like this...
If your Grampy is too distraught to drive due to this, do you have a good friend that can help?
Hugs and condolences to you.
Grampy will be fine. He's good at handling this stuff. We're still waiting for them to come back. I hope grammy is okay. I don't know if there's anyone else who can drive mom. Maybe mom's sister who lives here downstairs can take the morning off of work, I don't know.
I send condolences and purrs of comfort to your mom. The poem is beautiful and heartfelt, and I know her uncle is at peace.
Thank you Toki, oh they just got home. Be back shortly.
Grammy said that he hemorrhaged all over the bedroom! His lungs must have really bled out. His wife Patty said that today, they had a wonderful and beautiful day together! He told her all day long that he loved her. He said he had a dream a couple of nights ago that his late father came to him and told him it was time to go with him now. All of his kids were just here and spent all last week with him, so he said all of his goodbyes. No unfinished business.
Grammy said his cat was going berserk trying to get to him. That the kitty kept going to his head on the floor and crying! They put the kitty in the bedroom and even though she's a small kitty, they thought she'd bust the door down. How sad. Us animals really have a special connection with our humans.
Mom is going to bed now. Have to get up to get her shot tomorrow. We'll let you know how it went.
Thanks everybody for being our rock, as usual!
Luv you guys!
Many purrs and hugs, along with some powerful prayers for comfort to your mom. Praying she gets some good rest and and get her shot tomorrow this will make it much easier on her getting through the upcoming days, so very sorry for your mom's loss.
I'm so sorry to hear this news. :( Sending all my love to your family. Good luck with your shot - I hope it helps!
Sending your family purrs.
Sending you purrs of comfort; you're in our thoughts.
Thank you everyone! Mom just got back from having her shot done so she's going to eat something and take a nap. We really appreciate all of you so much. Seems like we're always needing our Catster support system these days. We're so lucky to have you all.
Glad that's all over...purrs & hugs to all!
we bee trooly sorree two heer bout yur uncle.....
Thank you Tabbies. I guess he's still on ice because they're so poor they can't even pay for the cremation. My aunt came over here asking what to do and my grammy got kind of mad. We don't have the money either and they have 4 kids! They should be doing something to help. She wanted grammy to go with her to the funeral home and grammy got very little sleep last night, had to get up early this morning to go for blood work, then spent 3 hours waiting for mom to get her shot! Then when she tried to take a nap, Patty, his wife came over. She's a nice lady and has loved and stuck by mom's uncle for 40 years. But she can't do anything for herself and grammy has a heart condition! She's in her 80s she's got to rest. I guess that the state has programs for this kind of thing so they should be able to get the funding somehow. Sigh.
I am so sorry to hear about your moms uncle.....it is so sad. I love the poem:) Know that you are in our thoughts.
Thank you so much Harley, mom wishes he had a better life. He was the kindest man she knew next to her grandfather that passed many years ago. Doesn't seem fair.
Your Uncle was ready to go and he is at peace now! It sounds like he was ready to go to heaven, he had enough and God was calling him home!
We love the poem, thanks for sharing!!!
hugs and purrs from heaven

He was indeed Queen T. He had all of his ducks in a row and had his dad, mommy's granddad, waiting for him.

Luv you too Normy, thank you buddy! Seems like this year we're always losing someone in this family. But mommy's uncle is with his daddy now and they take a lot of comfort in that. They were both wonderful men.
