Hi Everybody! I am feeling great! Maybe it is the combination of all your purrs and some meds and being honored with Diary of the Day today. Mom keeps teasing me and saying I got Diarrhea of the Day, but I tell her, that was Tuesday!

I am doing okay. I am eating and not making any more messes. I am also avoiding Mom like she has the plague, because she is the giver of yucky tasting meds. She almost fooled me tonight with a pill pocket....almost.

I did say that I would talk about where my Diary title comes from ..."Sing Along with Ivan". Mom and I have a little routine where she sings a line from a song and leaves out the last word and I fill in the blank. It is very comical. As part of her job, Mom does programming for children, so she knows a decent variety of kid's songs. She will sometimes come home and sing to me. When the song becomes familiar enough, then I sing along.

Our favorite, right now, is "You Are My Sunshine". She has actually been singing this to me since I was a kitten, because I would chase sunbeams in the house.

Here's a funny part to this story....I was very scared when I was at the vet, so scared I was shaking. Mom put her face down next to my head and softly started sing our song. One of the doctors passed by our room, heard her (I was too scared to sing along) and stood there and caught Mom's eye and smiled. She was kinda embarrassed because she doesn't have a great voice, but she can tell that the doctor thought it was sweet.

So glad youse feelin' better an is free frum the baffroom. I talks wif Jen. She mew at me an' I echo her, is kinda like youse singin. (Jen don' sing. She say is soooooooooo bad efun she can' stand it.)

Hi Ivan, so glad to hear you are feeling better! Please don't worry about making my mom cry. That's just what she does, she cries when she is happy,sad or really touched. She is happy that there is a sweet boy out there who looks so much like me.
Maybe we are brothers cause guess what? My mom used to sing, You are my Sunshine to me. She thinks orange boys are Sunshine boys.
She sings it to Milo now but only when nobody is around. She is the world's worst singer. MOL
It is very sweet that your Mom sang to you at the vet. I bet it soothed you. I never did sing along, I would love to hear you though!

So glad you're feeling better....I sing that song all the time for Kaci Sunshine....my sunshine girl....now you and your mom sing it too!

I bet that doc thought your mom was the best mom for singing to you! My mom makes up little songs for us here, too. She loves it when we are happy!

dood...glad yur dia ree oh de day dinna mess with yur diarrea N yur dinner iz stay down N de diary title iz even WAY better than dairy...even it it iz cheese..... N sooper glad ya iz feelin better N thatz pawsum yur mom singed a song for ewe...R mom cant carry a toon N wood still knot be able two if her hada basket ta put em in, but her sings ta uz anymew.....

Congrats on your Diary of the day. That's funny that your mom teases you that it is diarrhea of the day, mol, Whenever we tell grandma that we got diary of the day she'd just laugh and say what you have diarrhea today?

That is so cute that your Mom sang to you at the vet. Do you sing along with her usually? That's so cute!
