Hi everyone,
Mommy and Daddy finally bought a new 'old' car. Mommy was the one that saw it. She liked it cause it was very 'reasonable'. Well, Daddy said it should be-it's 21 years old.
However, the man who had it loved it. He is moving to Fl with his other old car, also a Jeep.
Mommy liked all the room in the back, which is good for us. The air conditioner needs to be fixed for us, mainly. But this now will allow Daddy and Mommy to get us to the (gulp) vet faster and easier and pick up food for us more easily.
Its not a fancy car at all, and I think Daddy's a little ashamed because it's old and worn. But I think that since it was loved and cared for it will be fine, and Mommy said that right now they are driving what they can afford, and she's a strong workhorse with no nonsense about her...the car, that is.
I'm doing ok though my eye is still being treated...it may be a chronic thing throughout my life. Mommy said they can now get Smokie out to the vet on Long Island for him to be seen about his mouth.

Furs....for all of you out there who can, will you spread the word that shelters out there are in great great need of foster homes for us? Many rescues will pay for food and medical care if your folks can foster a fur. It saves lives...it really does.

And for those of us out there who's families can...please, please adopt. There are even little Siamese kittens for adoption at our local city shelter. These cats have only a short while before they are euthanized. We don't want to depress anyone, but we do want those who might not know that there are all sorts of cats for adoption at their local shelters...til there are none, adopt one...

Well, I think it is a good thing to get to and from the vet as fast as possible, so I'm glad you have a new old car that will work for you! Purring for you and that eye, Ruffy!

Concats and many happy miles with your new old car. Tell Dad not too worry about what it looks like, as long as it runs good. Mom has a pick-up truck that is almost 18 years old. The air doesn't work either, the paint is a mess, but it can get her to work and back and is great for hauling stuff around. She also has an older car that she uses to take us to the vet and Gram shopping. Because they are old, she never worries about where she parks, not like when they were newer.

Purrs for your eye problem and for Smokie's teeth. Did you know, my sis, Roni still has a crush on him?

Congrats on the wheels! we have a saying around here (well it is really what The Dad says) " All you need to drive is what gets you from point A to point B". Our human brother & sister heard that about a zillion times when they were looking for their 1st cars, and you know what they had used cars that did them just fine. Heck mom says the older cars are built better & much easier to fix thn the newer ones with all the computery stuff in them. The 2 work trucks The Dad uses have almost 200000 miles on em- far from new. Sorry that the vet will be an easier visit though....but ya gotta take the bad with the good. Hope all of you guys are doing well.

Ruffy, that car must be purrty good if it's still going strong after 21 years! And it's great to use things as long as possible. Mom's last car was 10 years old, but it gave out last summer. Still looked purrty good too.

It's always good to get a reminder about kitties who need help. Mom is thinking about doing some fostering.

Nope, long as it runs good 'n dat'z all dat matters, coz ours is 15 yrs old but wuz kept up really good by my mom'z mommy, so don't matter what it looks like~! Purrz fur Smokie 'n Fur Ur eye to get better 'n feel better too! We know 'bout da furs 'n kitties to be 'dopted, as I waz adopted from da local shelter meself. Mallee wuz a street kitty 'n we got her~! Since we on'ly got a small purrlace, so we can't haz no more animals. We purray dey all be 'dopted soon. I know gettin' da word out dere iz important coz we care so mush~! Fosterin' iz good but Mallee don't like male kitties jus' cept me~! Well her still hates Ziggy 'n Timmy 'n don't like Sam either~! She's a hissy fit gurly~! MOL~! But her loves me 'n mom 'n guess dat'z all da counts~!
