Rainy days make my belly blue

... in oh so many ways kitties. Oh do these rainy days make my belly chilly and sad. It's all dark and rainy out right now and I'm sulking in the closet. There's a great little nook mommy made for us at the way back of the closet where we can hide. If people come into the house who we don't want to see or if we are stressed out we can go back here and feel nice and safe. She just bought us a new tent that has glow in the dark stars on it to put back here as well to help build up the safe nook for us. The best part about the nook though? It's really easy to warm up cause it's so small and safe and there are so many blankets! It's nice and cool in the summer and easy to warm up in the winter!

Anyways... enough about my great nook! The point is, I'm back here trying to warm up all day. I want the sun to come back. Mommy is thrilled about all the rain, she says we need it. She also hopes the heat stays away until at least June, apparently the AC bill is very high in the summer and she hates having to turn it on so she wants to get in all the water we can before the heat wave rolls in. I disagree! I want sun mommy! I NEED SUN! I'm waiting for my sun to come back mommy... I'm so cold!

The only good part of the day was that this is the one week mommy is taking off before she dives into full work again. This is her reward for finishing up graduate school, 1 week. She slept SOOOOOOOOOOOO late this morning and I was right there with her. It was THE BEST! Mommy won't admit how long she slept because she is embarrassed about it, she thinks she wasted the day. I say that's silly... sleeping is NOT wasting the day, am I right kitties? Here's hoping she sleeps in again tomorrow and doesn't wake up early... I love a good warm bed!

and now... as promised, your French Lesson for this diary entry! All of these phrases are pulled right from my new book, "French for Cats" Let's all learn some great French together!

What do we call a dog in French?
Le Mauvais Chien = the bad dog!

What do we ask our parents to do about Le Mauvais Chien?
Je vous en prie, tuez le chien (de la maison d'a cote) = Please kill the dog (next door (in case it's a neighbors dog you want to get rid of!))

How do we make sure this happens? By using another enemy of the beloved cat!
L'Enfant Mechant - The Mean Child

All you have to do to get your parents to get rid of the dog is...
Je Voudrais que le mauvais chien morde l'enfant mechant = I wish the bad dog would bite the mean child

next time, let's discuss the different groups of nom noms!

Just so everyone knows... we don't encourage you killing your beloved doggies! Mommy would never hurt a doggy, neither would I! (So long as none of them come in my house!) I'm just reciting what I'm learning from my book!

Send the rain this way..we are in an exceptional drought.
Love the French lessons BTW! We have a nephew who fits that bill, along with his mother..She is no longer allowed here anymore thankfully, as she kicked Pharaoh Loki.
Your nook sounds wonderful! I want that tent! MOLxx

Yeah, we had one day of that glorious SUN...and today it is cloudy again...BOO!

Sometime we too feel like we want to do 'Morde sur le chien mauvais', that lives here with us...but then, who would I wash the ears of?

I hear ya about the cold! It was so cold last night we had to turn on the heater! It's barely cracked 70 at all - mostly it's been around 55 to 60 and rainy out. I need summer!

I have heard of one kind of dog, but I think it's just a fairytale figure in fables - it's called a good dog. Don't know if these really exist, but I do know some bad dogs. I'm too sweet to murder, or even speak ill of the dog, but if they ceased to exist I wouldn't be terribly disappointed. That's about as diplomatic as I can be. Thanks for the great lesson!! Luv, Tink

My mommy swears there are good doggies out there... I have my doubts. I'm not even a fan of other kitties in my house so I doubt there are any good doggies out there I'd like! We agree though, we couldn't hurt any doggy ourselves. Definitely something I can see myself angrily mratting at mommy though if she ever got a doggy! "Oh CAT mommy WHY did you get that thing? Can't we just get rid of it?"

When my meowmy brought in that 'THING" that wiggled and snuffled and whined and woofed...and chased me, I was one hissing kitty! But my curiosity got the better of me, and I sometimes would go and try to sniff him...but it took days before I got over being miffed with meowmy; that was too funny, MOL! I hissed at her, too!
Pipo came into the furmily when he was a baby, but even after more than 6 years, he still seems to always have his smacky paw at the ready!

J'aime mon diamant sis= I love my sister diamond. I got to say honestly, Diamond is a good dog. Maybe, that's because she's somewhat afraid of Zach and me.

So, Tink and Simone they do exists, they just need proper training.

Ewww Minko, you wash your dog's ears? Can't he do that himself? Dogs I tell ya.

Simone, I envy you. You have a nook. I wanted a nook but Mom got me a kindel instead. The Kindel is NOT warm and comfy at all. Your Mom needs to sleep in again tomorrow, especially if it's cold. That way you can cuddle next to her and get warm.

I don't speak French. I speak German. I think one foreign language is enough for my brain. But French sounds very elegant.

Oh we are so tired of this poopy weather! Rainy and dreary. We're ready for some sunshine too! Maybe we all need to put our paws together and do a sun dance!

Chai

It has rained for 2 days and it will be raining all week here. There are even flood warnings! Booooo! I miss the sun too! I'm right with you, Simone! "L'enfant mechant" is a very useful term! My mom thinks it is funny how I don't like children. It is their cries and screams that I don't like. I actually growl when I hear a crying child.

Sleeping in sooooo late is really soooo good and rainy days is the best time for that, relax and enjoy it while your mom is home to sleep in. If you insist then you can send the rain our way I don't mind it so much. Some doggies are good so be careful about getting the bad child to cause the dog to bite it we don't like them either but you know kitties still love them.

Oh but learning french is so much fun and so sophisticated.

We still have cold weather - we've been turningon the furnace at night as it gets down to the 40s. We're hoping it warms up without getting so hot we have to have the AC.
