Arrival Story:
For my birthday in 1995, a friend with a lot of cats and kittens living in a barn in Kansas gave me a charcoal gray kitten. When I went to her home to pick him up, the kitten who was to become Simba came up to me and played and purred and was just so cute that I had to take him home too. After flea baths, he and his brother went home with me. At first my husband (still lying in bed, having just woken up) was irritated that I brought home two kittens instead of one (we already had two adult cats). However, Simba climbed up the side of the bed and proceeded to lick my husband's face, and he was immediately hooked and has claimed Simba as his own ever since.
We had to put Simba to sleep on 7/1/07 after a rapid downhill course with a suspected abdominal tumor. He did not suffer long - we would never allow that. We are desolate with grief, but know we will see him again someday and are devoted to our other kitties, Montana and Morrissey.
We love you Simba Bimba!!!
