Catster's Breed of the day is Turkish Vans

Since Catster decided to recognize our wonderful Turkish Vans breed today, Girl Human did a little update to my page.

Girl Human has going down memory lane. All the things that made her laugh through the years, where rushing through her mind this morning. She has had a smile on my face and a tear in eye ever since She turned on Catster, early this morning.

We miss her dearly. The Thanksgiving table will feel so different this year. We were so fortunate to have shared our lives with her.

She always had her own place setting at the holiday tables. She sat so patiently, waiting for the big feast to be presented to "HER". What a day that was for her. Guests never once questioned her presents. They always enjoyed her company. A cat at the table??? She was no cat, believe me.

Kitties were never allowed in the dining room for such special dinners. But she was something, beyond special. She managed to invite herself one year long ago, and was always welcomed after that. She always had manners and never placed her feet on the table. Well almost never. She was quit the lady.

For all who have never had a Turkish Van, let me say you are missing the best part of life. There is nothing like them. What a surprise we had when she arrived in our lives. She was the clown of the house. She was loved by all Humans and kitties. She befriended whom ever she met in a matter of minutes.

Girl Human said she looks forward to the day they meet again. What a wonderful blessing she was to Calico Junction Sanctuary.

I'm so happy and thank you

Since Girl Human is working these odd hours it is hard for us to get together. I wanted her to do this entry and to thank everyone for all they have done for us during our adjustment time.
I celebrated my first birthday here at Rainbow Bridge and it was a lot of fun. I do want you to know that I loved all my beautiful gifts, messages and cards. You Catster furrends are so very very nice.
Please do not think for one minute that I did not like all the attention I was given on my special day.

Here is a big hug and kiss of thanks for each and everyone of you. You all are so very special to all of us Calico Junction kitties and kitty angels.

Rainbow Bridge is so wonderful

I'm so sorry that I never knew that my diary was picked on March 12th until Girl Human read Buddy's pawmail today.
I have been so busy here that I have not have had time to read my mail. Please forgive me. Girl Human said she will try to answer everyone's communicat' as soon as she can.
I have had wonderful days since I have arrived at the bridge. I gotten to enjoy a wonderful sunshine while chasing butterflies with all my furrrends. Taffy my twin Turkish Van has been showing me around.
I have seen so many Catster kitty Angels and it is wonderful seeing them all so happy and healthy. I have been feeling so wonderful since I got here.
I played in the field and hunted in the woods. There were lots of Squirrels and birds to keep us all busy. I love it here.
One day you all will get to be here and we will all have a wonderful time. Anything you want you can have. You can explore anything you want and never have to worry about getting hurt. There is no sadness and no pain. Everyone are friends. No fights no bad words. This is the most wonderful place in the world. I'm so glad I'm here so don't be sad for me.
I do miss my Humans and fur brothers and sisters. I know Peaches misses me very much, he seems lost. He keeps looking for me. I hope he will be OK. He has been with me ever since he was a very little baby. He looks sad at times. Girl Human is giving lots of special attention, I'm so glad.

I'm leaving for Rainbow Bridge today

Girl Human is unable to do more then leave this note. Scarlet is going to the Vet at 11:45. Angel are you ready for her??? She is a real clown and you will love her.

I smelled Spring the other day!!!!

My Girl Human and I boff got red roses for Valentines day. Taffy my good furfreind sent me a beauttttful bunch of roses this morning. I don't know why she won't let me eat them. I love to eat.

I am eating everything in site any time I want. I wake Girl Human up at all hours of the night wanting food. She does not mind getting up and sitting with me while I eat.

I have been getting some real yummy stuff too. No Tiki though. I love Tiki, but it is to far away to go get it. Girl Human said, she does not have the time or money to get me some.

Petsmart is close and I have been having all kinds of interesting stuff to eat. She has been getting kitten food and kitty milk for me. That's why I want to eat at all hours of the night. So many choices. Something different every time.

I had my first chunkie food yesterday and I had so much fun making a big mess. I threw food everywhere. Girl Human does not mind at all. She is so happy I am enjoying my food.
I have even started eating hard foods again.

I keep having problems with my tongue working right. Girl Human said that is from all those electric cords I have chewed in my younger years.

Lately, I have been putting on weight. I purr all the time. I never purred like this before. I found out I can. I try to see how loud I can purr. I purr so loud at times, I can be heard in another room.

It is so much fun. I can taste my food again and I make a funny yum yum sound when I eat, it is soooo goood.

I'm gaining weight every week. I was so thin you could feel every rib and I had no meat on my bones, as Girl Human, put it.
I scratched on the big scratch post the other day. I have not showed interest in much for a long time. I'm smiling a lot too.

Girl Human was getting ready to say goodby to me. I'm a tough kitty. She isn't going to get rid of me that easy. I'm here and want to see Spring.

She did give me a short preview of Spring the other day. It was so beautiful out. Girl Human opened the windows. Today it is real windy and cool, so no open windows. I don't mind now, I can dream of what's to come real soon. I love to smell the fresh air on a nice Spring morning.

I'm beating all odds, Girl Human says. No medicines now. So far it is working in my favor. Even my little heart beat is slower now. I will just have to keep up the good work. I want to make Girl Human happy. She makes me happy, so I must do my best to see her smile.

RUN,RUN. Scamper Scamper, wake up Humans. PURRRRETTTT!!!!!!! WAKE UP, NOW! remarked Scarlet.

"Well that's not working. Boy on the special day like today, how dare they sleep???? PURRRRETTTT!!!!! It's time to get up you guys!!!! Come on!!!" said Scarlet while walking on Girl Human's back.

"Well that's not working. How about a toy, let me go to the toy box, let's see here, that feels like it would wake them up!!! Some fuzzy thing with feathers. Let me jump up here and put it beside Girl Human. "Come on Girl Human, lets play, Scarlet said to herself, PURRRRETTTT!!!! Why won't she get up and play with me????" questioned Scarlet.

"Well that's not working either!!!!! PURRRRETTT!!!! How about a fight, Yah a fight. Who wants to fight???? Come on up here!!!!" yelled Scarlet, with a cute little "Purrrettt" at the end of her sentence.

"Not me," said Pooh Bear, with a yawn, as he peeked from under the covers. "Your not getting me into your, "crazies."

"Crazies? PURRRETTTTT," gasped Scarlet. "What do you mean, Crazies?"

"Well it is just getting to be daylight," said Pooh, laying his head back on the covers. "Leave me be," Pooh sighed.

"WHAT!! What do you mean, Leave me be????" Echoed Scarlet. "You need to help me, PURRRETTTTTT!!!!" whispered Scarlet to Pooh.

"Why on earth, do you think you need help, Queen of the Crazies??" questioned Pooh.

"Stop saying, I'm Crazy. You need to help me" replied Scarlet with another PURRRRETTTTTT!!!!!

"What is the big deal??" asked Pooh.

Scarlet was trying new approach. It always gets the Humans up. "If you won't help, I guess I will walk among the "nickie nackies over the TV, hissed Scarlet.

"You better not break them", explained Pooh, closing his eyes.

"Well OK, I will try one more thing, Silence. While sitting 3 inches from Girl Human's face, Yes, Silence. I will do a little turn around and put my bum in her face too, TEEE HEEEE!!!!! she thought to herself.

"I think it's working," exclaimed Scarlet, "look"!!!

"Yes, Pooh, PURRRETTTT," said Scarlet with a big kitty smile.

Girl Human opened one eye, looking at her cute little face. There was Scarlet looking at her, with her ears held up high.

Girl Human laughed. "You crazy girl, Happy Birthday!!!"

Scarlet stood up, purring loudly. "Yes you remembered, Yes." Scarlet rubbed Girl Human while smiling, giving Girl Human a little nudge.

"Yes Girl Human, you though this day would never happen again. But here I am. A little thinner and a little wiser. PURRRRETTTTT," said Scarlet with a big smile.

"Come on Girl Human, it's time for my morning snack. Get up, you have to have Annie get on Catster and tell everyone it's my Birthday, today, Purrrrretttt!!!!!" Scarlet remarked, while jumping off the bed running twords the kitchen, "PURRRETTT!!!"


"Yes my Sweet Scarlet, it is your day," said Girl Human, while giving Scarlet a hug. "A Very Very Special day indeed," she said, while petting her beautiful colored fur.

Pooh, yawned and crawled under the cover not saying a word.

"I am Queen of Demand"

"Yes I am Queen"!!! I am Queen of the land of Demand. I am Funny, Happy and I want it all. Yes fellow kitties, I feel super and I demand good food, lots of toys and time on Humans bed when ever I want it.

Last fall the Humans thought I would never see Spring. Well here I am and now I am Queen. I want food NOW> I want the best spot in the sun NOW, I want all the toys I can get NOW.

I will hide everything I can get my paws and jaws on. I am the Queen of DEMAND. "DEMAND IS Scarlet's land". It is all mine. I can run and play and purrrrett again. I am so very happy. "I love treats give me treats, why because I am the Queen of Demand.

The Devil Kitty is going strong. Thanks for all those prayers and well wishes you Catster kitties and Humans gave. It helped to make our Scarlet the happy kitty she is today. Thank You all. We have her back, our Devil Kitty is just fine. She makes us laugh every day. What a wonderful gift our beautiful Scarlet is.

I am the Devil Kitty Again:

Yes I am and I am so very proud to be the Devil Kitty again. I had my down time and that is that. I am doing the 4 am crazies, talking in the wee hours of morning at the top of my lungs with a very high pitch MERRRRRRROWWWWW followed by a PURRRITTT.

I'm on the hunt for those shiny things again. I tried to make off with Girl Human"s hoop ear ring. Girl Human just laughed. Not quite the reaction I was expecting. I felt guilty and dropped it.

I am waiting I will get the prized shiny and hide it someplace far away. TEE HEE!!!! Yes the DEVIL KITTY has gained back all her weight and is ready to have fun. I even gave chase to Sweeny last night. We had a real good time running all over the house. What is it, with these Humans, all they do is smile and laugh at me???? Well I must improve on my Devil Ways!!!!! TEEE PURRRITTTT HEEE!!!
