Anne Rice's Prince Oberon Grows Up to be Majestically Handsome
It's been a while since we heard from the Clash of Cats involving Anne Rice's felines and those of her son, Christopher Rice. The vampire novelist's offspring claimed that his mother had posted more photos of precious Prince Oberon on her Facebook page than those of her own child, and thus declared a war between their cats. However, after some playful banter, Anne Rice gave in, posting multiple albums of Christopher ... restoring peace and justice to the literary Facebook world.
Back then, Prince Oberon was a new addition to the family. He has returned with updated photos on Anne Rice's page, and oh my! Has he grown into quite a majestic kitty.
For comparison, here's Oberon in June on the left, and Oberon in September on the right.
And, as his name would suggest, Prince Oberon loafs with an air of royalty that quite becomes his brilliant features.
You might think this is Anne Rice's queen-size bed, but it's all Oberon's. Such an animal calls for this level of finery, the deep reds and golds magnifying his bright snowy coat.
Lest we forget, Oberon is still a young cat, and sometimes given to bratty acts, like sitting in a most undignified way.
But of course, he's a cat, so just try telling him to do otherwise.
