The holidays are quickly approaching and many of us are making our lists and checking them twice. You don't have to break the bank in order to wow your friends with fun kitty-themed gifts. I've done the legwork for you and am excited to share 10 kitty-riffic gifts for cat lovers in your life. Admittedly, the list is a little biased because the items are all goodies I'd love to find under my tree. Family and friends, please take note of this not-so-subtle hint. I promise to look surprised.

Now, on to the gifties!

1. Pirate kitty locket: $9.95

"Ahoy!" Source

If you regularly read my posts, you know I have a thing for cats acting and dressing like humans. How cute is this guy? This silver-plated locket necklace is sure to tickle the fancy of your friends who love silly cats and want to look adorably stylish. If I were to receive this locket, I'd probably keep a photo of my Cosmo inside. Or a lock of his fur. Or a snack.

2. Business Cat mousepad: $15.00

"Get back to work." Source

I am a huge fan of the Business Cat meme. Sure, he sleeps on the job and cancels meetings to chase the red dot, but he thinks outside the box. And sometimes he thinks inside the box. I want to put my mouse on his face.

3. Wrought iron bookends: $17.94

For your litter-ary friends. Source

I like these because they're simple and classy. It's the perfect gift for your bookworm friends -- especially the ones whose books are always falling over.

4. Chiffon cat scarf: $11.99

Ready to wrap! Source

Cute, cute cute! This simple printed scarf turns most any outfit into the cat's meow. Cats have us wrapped around their little fingers; why not wrap them around our necks?

5. Cat Junkie mug: $13.99

For the junkie that doesn't want rehab. Source

I admit it: I'm a cat junkie, and I'm not afraid to proclaim it loudly and proudly on my coffee mug. This super-cute original art is kiln-fired on ceramic that's dishwasher- and microwave-safe. And you know what's even better? "I am furniture unto my cat" is printed on the back. Happy holidays, ya junkie!

6. Kitty face iPhone 5 wallet: $9.99

Unlimited data. Unlimited cute. Source

Can you hear me meow? You might drop a call now and again, no one's going to complain if you drop this little wallet down their chimney.

7. Cloth cat towel holder: $19.95

This gift is the living end. Source

Okay, Okay, I know this may be a little gross for some. I mean, you are poking a towel into a cat anus, but I'm a fan of the bizarre and sometimes inappropriate. And maybe some of your family and friends are, too!

8. Cat salt and pepper shakers: $13.75

Shake on some adorable. Source

Spices have never been so sweet! Don't like the cat-butt towel holder? Get these salt and pepper shakers for your loved one. And the little magnetic insert makes them kiss. Umm, yes!

9. Purple paw comfort slippers: $13.00

Cozy and cute! Source

I'm a slipper girl. When I'm at home, I always have slippers on my feet. And purple! And paw prints! Okay, if you aren't going to get these for anyone on your gift list, get them for me. Plus, they are from The Animal Rescue Site, which means your purchase helps animals! Win-win!

10. whiskerslist: the kitty classifieds book: $10.77

Buy this book. Source

I know I'm tooting my own horn because I wrote this darn book, but I'm here to tell you that it really is the perfect gift for kooky cat-lovers on your holiday gift list. A parody of craigslist and cats? Yes! I promise you will laugh -- and maybe find a date for your cat.
