Arrival Story:
While in highschool, I was on my way to my part-time job early one Saturday morning in the winter. It was a very cold, 'skin-biting' morning. I walked into a bus shelter and saw Kitty huddling in one of the corners. I dropped into a crouch position, and called to him. He came running over and jumped into my lap! I guess he knew it was a warmer place to be than in that corner! I took him home, end of story. We think he was almost a year old at that time. Over the
next few weeks, we kept our eyes open for any "lost" signs, and I think we posted our own "found" signs. When Kitty was about 5 years old, he became really sick requiring frequent and uncomfortable trips to the vet. After 2 years of this he was put to sleep. This was a very sad time in my life. He was not happy when he died and I have always felt bad that I couldn't do any more for him. But, he was happy staying with us as he became very affectionate during his last few years with us. He was also given cat companionship through our Tequila(black and white) and Nookie (brown tabby).
