We had had our cat, Sam, for about a year and felt that since we were both at work all day, he should have a companion cat. One night, as we were walking to a nearby restaurant, I spotted a very small kitten crouched in the opening to the crawl space under an apartment building. The was a tuna can of water and some remnants of food there, too, but no one around claimed her. When we had finished dinner, we spotted this mite scampering straight for the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. She was so dark, no one would have seen her amidst all those cars. I called to a pedestrian to catch her (I wasn't very nimble on my pins just then) and when she brought her to me, the lady asked if this was my cat and I replied, "She is now."
Bio:
The Mighty Hunter has caught six sparrows on our balcony, rising from concealment like a brown ground-to-air missle. She is so gentle that only one did not survive to be caught and released unharmed by her humans (much to her disgust).
