Arrival Story:
I had lost my 15 year old cat Muddy to a stroke and a friend asked me if I'd ever get another cat. Muddy had come to me under unusual circumstances so I said I would wait until a cat came to me so that they would be as special as Muddy was. My friend's daughter found a starving, flea-infested, 3 month old tortie in their alley behind their house. She immediately thought of calling me but her mother said it was too soon since I had lost Muddy (6 days) but she went behind her mother's back and called me anyway. I was hesitant because of my grief but also remembered my vow. I asked her if she could bring the kitten to me. She did and I've never been happier :)
