Tonight when Daddy got home from work, he scooped me up and put me in my carrier and carried me to the car. I know what this means. I'm off to get my claws trimmed. They have been getting long. At the pet food store where they have the trimming there was a loooong line. Longer than we have ever seen there. Who get's their claws trimmed on Valentine's Day? Well it was a lot of people. Not just cats and dogs but guinea pigs too!
Daddy talked with a lady who not only got her cats from Almost Home Foundation like me, but we also went to the same V-E-T. How cool is that? Anyway we had to wait about half an hour before it was our turn. They still remembered me because my coat is so beautiful (and I hide under my blanket). I squirmed a bit and almost got away once. They had a good grip on me. Dad worried I would panic and run outside into the cold night and get lost or hit by the cars on the road outside. Fortunately they knew what they were doing and I stayed firmly on the table until it was over.
Last time Daddy promised he wouldn't go to Taco Bell for dinner on the way home since it takes so long at the drive-thru. He kept his promise. Instead he tried to go to Burger King. But the BK closed down. We knew it was coming. The city had a news release months ago that it would be turned into a Walgreens or something (like there aren't enough of those around - it's like Starbucks!). Well it finally happened. It must have been recently too because the last time he drove by it was open. So we went to Mc'Ds instead. No line there. Just in and out and home.
Boy was I eager to get out of my carrier. I kept jumping up against the door to it during the few seconds it took between setting it down and opening it up. I've calmed down now. Now why is the carrier still here?
Thanks to all who gave us valentines! You guys are the best!
