This is the thread that mom posted this morning, bragging about ME!
I've heard people say that cats "don't particularly care" about their owners when they are in trouble, only dogs warn and help their people. Well, there have been many heroic cats! I have a little brag about my Whisper. I'm so proud of him! A few weeks ago, I put the dishwasher on and then left the room and went to watch a movie.
A couple of minutes later, Whisper came to me, "meow, meow, meow." I thought he wanted to be petted, but when I reached down, he ran into the kitchen. He came back to me and once again, meowed, then ran back to the kitchen. When he did this a third time, I figured he was trying to tell me something, and maybe I'd better follow him. When I got to the kitchen, the dishwasher was flooding over, water and soap all over! I got to it just in time before a real flood occurred and was able to turn it off.
I was just amazed that my little guy came to warn me that something wasn't right. I'm so proud of him. Besides being such a wonderful companion and emotional loving support to me, he is my little hero, looking out for me.
In what ways has your kitty come to your rescue or told you something that has helped you out so much?

Mom is still crying over sweet Catsy. She told me all about this brave little soul who lived on the cruel streets well into her elder years. She was taken in by a wonderful family who vowed that Catsy would live her life out in comfort and love. This was accomplished, unfortunately Catsy has just passed on to Rainbow Bridge.
We used to visit Catsy's page all the time, even if there were no changes. Mom always cried, especially when she read the Prayer of a Homeless Cat. We felt joy at every turn in Catsy's life, every little step forward. Catsy in her pink bed, Catsy letting her mom brush her, Catsy's fur growing in so beautifully.
There was something about Catsy that just tugged at the heartstrings. Looking at her innocent little face, and the expression in her eyes, just so non-demanding, non-expecting...She was and is a very special girl. We know her family is mourning this little life spirit and we can honestly cry real tears of loss, even though we never knew Catsy.
We can only imagine what this little girl went through before being rescued. We are very thankful that we have a loving home, but our thoughts go out to all the other homeless kitties, what they must be going through. Catsy brought to light the hard life that they cats have and it makes us very sad. Mom looks at homeless cats differently now, with a lot of sorrow and sadness.
There will always be a special place in our hearts for Catsy and there will never be enough words to express our deep feelings for her. All we can say is that she changed our hearts, she pierced our souls and we love her so much and will miss her on this earth.
Take your wings and soar, little Catsy...you were loved...you will always be loved by so many whose lives you touched.

For the Olympic tag game!
KC and Apollo tagged me to play the Olympic Game! I will do the best I can.
1. What is your favorite Olympic sport?
We haven’t been watching the Olympics, but I think I would choose the Equestrian trials, ice skating, too.
2. Do you prefer the summer or winter Olympics?
Winter Olympics.
3. What is the quirkiest thing that you do?
I notice anything, no matter how tiny or high in the house…like, I can notice a tiny nail in the wall if it wasn’t there before. I just stop and stare. If it’s low enough, I will make a point to walk as far away from it as I can, always keeping an eye on it.
4. Do you have a crush on another kitty out there and if so who?
Well, being new here, we haven’t met a whole lot of kitties, but truth be told, I really like Shadow (515123)
5. What's your favorite rosie or zealie and why?
I think the beach ball, cause I love the way it spins and that gorgeous diamond, because it's...gorgeous. Mom likes the summer drinks :)!
The 5 kitties I’m tagging are:
Speedbump 853979
Treadmark 854032
PutPut 854265
Moki 594566
Me Yow 598102
