Leave a treat for Balamita

Nicknames: badlamita, bellymeter

Likes: being chased

Pet-Peeves: canned cat food that is mushed up, rather than cut in cubes/ chunks

Favorite Toy: little foam balls

Favorite Nap Spot: on fleece heating pad

Favorite Food: cheap canned cat food (chunks, not mushed), but only the first spoonful served

Skills: understands many human words

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: As an undergraduate, I'd wanted to adopt a cat and, on a whim, called a "free kittens" ad in the newspaper. I arranged to meet the owner of the kittens (who had "just a girl" left) in the parking lot of a nearby drug store. She showed up, handed me the kitten (~2 months old) and, while I started looking her over, drove away. Whoops - guess I got a cat.

Bio: Balamita summers with her grandparents in Ohio while her canine siblings travel to Mexico with her parents. She comes back to California to spend the remainder of the remainder of her year in the upstairs, dog-free, portion of the home. It was rough getting canines after 9 years as an only child.
The dream-scene photo of Balamita is our interpretation of her jaguar fantasies.

It's been a while since I've had the time to update my blog, having many imporant other activities to do throughout the day, particularly since we have new neighbors under my heating pad window. I'm turning 15 next month and for my birthday, I'm hoping that my mother (aka slave) will get rid of the downstairs beasts. While they are limited to downstairs, I do hear them and, when I come down the stairs, I sometimes see them. Yuck! A few weeks ago, someone forgot to put up the baby gate and one of them CAME UPSTAIS. Yes, you can imagine how horrible that was. It ATE MY FOOD! Anyway, if any cats out there are good at fashioning weapons using foam balls, a heating pad, and a drinking fountain, please let me know.

My mother is adding me to catster because my sisters (I shudder to even call them that) are on dogster. They like meeting other dogs. I don't like meeting other cats, or dogs for that matter. I enjoy being entertained and waited upon by humans, but I don't like cats. During the summer, I spend some time with my grandparents' cat Bubba. He's the first cat that I ever met that I haven't attempted to kill (or at least corner under a bed for a significant period of time). Other than possibly Bubba (who stares at me too much because I'm so gorgous), I don't like cats. I dare you to try to corral me!
