Arrival Story:
I found my darling mary at an old neighbours house, she had been born under his house some time round November in 2007. sadly Mary was hit by a car and died instantly on 1st june 2009. we buried her under the bedroom window and planted a tree. Mum loves you mary and you will always be remembered as my little fluffy bum, my best friend. I miss your cuddles so much especially during such a stressful time in my life.

The moment I seen her I knew she was for me. She just lay there sun baking on that december morning. She must have been about 5- 6 weeks old. she looked so much prettier than the other kittens that frolicked amongst the long grass beside her. Surprisingly i think it was meant to be because while all the other kittens vanished under the house she continued to lay there in the sun and amazingly let me pick her up. I have had stray kittens before and I have never been able to do this, so to me I knew we belonged. She let me stroke her fur and give her cuddles. She had so many flees on her but that did not stop me from taking her home. I walked 6 km with her to get back to my house where I cleaned her up, fed her healthy food and cared for her, i named her Mary because of the M on her forehead and being so close to christmas I wanted to give her a biblical name. 3 weeks later I took her to the vet for her first check up and she was given shots and the all clear of any harms. To me she is purrfect. My little mate. I eventually gave her a nick name of pippi longlegs because she seemed to have legs of springs and they seem very long for her body. I was very curious as to find out what breed she could be with, as I thought her to be of moggy only. I found out 4 weeks ago from my Vet that she is most of Egyptian mau, Having features of spots on her skin (when shaved for her desexing) the fat pouch at the front and just visual features and behavoural traits of the egyptian mau, Her eyes may not be rich green but the vet did mention it can take upto 18 months of age for eyes to get there true colour, she does have grey green eyes at the moment so green eyes are a possibility. She is so much of my pride and joy knowing she has traits from an animal which has been worshiped thousands of years ago. She makes me laugh so much when its play time, she loves to climb under the blankets while I sleep and she has the wiggle tail. She is very vocally toned and talks often, she is protective of my 2 children when they are sleeping, if one of them wakes up crying she will comfort them by laying next to them and purr this puts them back to sleep. I have noticed even when I am upset she will come for a friendly cuddle. She just makes everything so much better. She has learnt how to open doors and draws and sometimes she has even jumped into the laundry sink to pee down the drain hole. I have also noticed this in the bath tub. A quick rush of hot water and its all gone no ammonia smell. I dont mind if when Im reading she stands on my chest in front of the pages. Shes my mate and I pray she is around for a long time.,
