Arrival Story:
I am a cat magnet - it's true. So the minute I settled down on a ranch, someone HAD to give me another cat. Hani was a beautiful silver blue medium hair domestic - "just a kitten" I was told. Just shy of two months later she presented me with six kittens - one of whom was MYST. I have a weakness for Siamese, and two of the kittens were Siamese marked, MYST and her brother. The person who gave me Hani, talked me out of the boy, but no one was getting MYST. :D Although her mom was a barn cat, MYST quickly moved indoors and took over. I use all caps in her name because her only volume is a shout, and she always has something to say. Very Siamese, yes?

Bio:
While living on the big ranch, we made acquaintence of the rancher next door (we have since moved to his ranch). He and MYST really hit it off, and he kept saying "She sure looks like my Homer". Homer was his Siamese tom he owned when he lived in town. Allowed to roam, Homer had decided to change his place of residence. After retrieving him several times, Dave gave in and asked the new people if they wanted to keep Homer, and they did. Turns out they were neighbors of the folks who gave us Hani... so it is very likely that MYST is, indeed, Homer's daughter. Small towns...

Fiesta Kittens

I had kittens! It was awful. And I don't like them, really. They're squeaky. I had them while Mom was at Fiesta last weekend. The humans fuss over them and say I'm a bad Mommy because I don't like to lay and cuddle with them. Well, they're taking attention away from ME. ME. ME.

They're noisy, too. Mom says that's understandable. I don't get it.

So now the babies are getting more cuddling than me. :( And Mom won't let me go outside with her in the morning either. She keeps saying I have "responsibilities" now. Near as I can tell - responsibility is just another word for kitten. I don't see why that means I can't go out and have my dust bath.

Kittens are no fun.

Fine then

How come I didn't get a diary till now? Pearl thinks she is so important. And Zoey too. But who gets the food dish filled in the morning? ME. Who lets Mom know it's time to get up? ME. Who keeps them informed on the doings of the day? ME.

Mom says since I'm so mouthy anyway I ought to do the Friday Quotes for the cat blogs. See - who does Friday quotes? ME.

Let's see...

“In nine lifetimes, you'll never know as much about your cat as your cat knows about you.”

Michel de Montaigne

There - worry about that feeble human.

Mom DID add a new coloring page that she says is in my honor. It's right here:

Do you think she is trying to tell me something?
