I'm Almost Five

It will be my 5th birthday on March 5. At that time, so says my breeder of Turkish Vans, I will be fully mature. I will have reached my full growth and my personality will be complete. However, just ask my human mom, my personality has been very strong since the day I came to live with her when I was four months old.

You see, I am very beautiful and intelligent and want things my way with no exceptions. I am affection but on my terms. I don't deny it...I am onry!

The reason my mom thinks I am intelligent is because she has taught me many tricks. I can beg, shake hands, sit, come, stay, lay down, roll over, kiss, jump up like a 'ballerina', play 'attack cat', hide and seek, and 'choose the right hand'' to name a few tricks that I know. What mom doesn't know is that I love my treats and I have taught her to give me treats when I perform...simple, huh?

The reason today is significant in my life is because my human mom brought home a puppy. Mom hasn't decided on a name for the puppy but it appears to be Marta or Carameleetta. I haven't been allowed to be close to her because mom is afraid I might hurt the puppy. I have to admit when they go outside, I get very jealous and stare at them through the glass door. She's such a wiggly, busy little thing.

I will use my future journal entries to keep you posted. Keep your fingers crossed I stay out of trouble.
