Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies, one who has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends where they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone who was very special to them, someone they had to leave behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The eyes are bright and intent, the eager little body begins to quiver all over! Suddenly that lucky one breaks away from the group, and flies over the green grass, little legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands once again caress that beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together. . . .

The cats who've shared our lives.

They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survive.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them....
and always will.

My meowmy doesn't know the title of this but says it is so true. I am always with her and live in her heart.

Today, I learned that my future sisfur-in-law to be Hazel was the furry first Sweet Face of the Week honoree. I am so proud of her. She is so precious to me. We sent her a rosette to help her celebrate her big honor. She sent a cherry drink back and said, "Hello sweet sisfur-in-law-to-be and family, Thank you so much for the blue ribbon and the gorgeous pink rose bouquet. I am quite honored and surprised by this special award of being the very first Sweet Face of the Week. I am just sooo excited." Well, Hazel is quite special to us and she should be proud. We are so proud of her!

My pawrents are safely home!

Effurything is getting back to normal today. My pawrents returned last night from their trip to New Orleans. They had fun with my human sisfur and meowmy told me she got to meet Auntie Faye and my earth siblings furiends Louis Armstrong, Charmaine Neville, Pete Fountain, Emma Barrett and Benny Grunch on the day of their arrival, which was August 17th.

Now I am so jealous! Meowmy told me she got to smooch the belly of Charmaine which has a paw print marking on it! Pffffttt! Why was meowmy smooching another cat? Well, actually, my meowmy said she only met Louis, Pete and Charmaine. It seems that Emma and Benny were in hiding and my pawrents weren't there long enough for them to feel comfortable enough to come out of their hiding places.

Meowmy told me that Auntie Faye had a lovely lunch prepared for her and my dad. She provided a delicious taste of New Orleans treats and a delicious dessert for my pawrents. They were so surprised and loved the delicious food. That was so furry nice of Auntie Faye.

Meowmy said that meeting her first Catster furmily was the highlight of her trip!

Fire and I flew over our pawrents during their journey and sprinkled them with our angel dust to provide them safe travel.

Very sad news.

It is with a sad spirit that I write. My furmily learned a short time ago that our furiend Notorious N.I.G. (Niggie) will be making his journey to the Bridge at 5 PM EST tonight. He has been suffering from cancer and won't get better. Our hearts are very heavy and sad to say goodbye to our furiend. There is nothing more difficult than saying good-bye to a loved one and our love goes out to Niggie's family. His meowmy Missie is very sad and having a hard time about saying good-bye to her beloved baby but she knows he is suffering and won't get well and she loves her little man enough to say this temporary good-bye until they meet again. Sometimes there just are enough words or the proper ones to express our true feelings. This is one of those times. Until you meet them again, sweet Niggie, watch over your loved ones tonight, sweet boy. We will be here to welcome you to the Bridge.

My meowmy is still touched deeply that my diary was picked yesterday as a DDP! Her eyes always leak when she sees my page. I was touched today by a sweet rosette that I received today from Weezer. He sent me a beautipurr rose and said, "Sweet Clawdia, Your are always in my thoughts." Thank you, Weezer. Weezer is a furry handsome angel who gave 20 years of love to his pawrents. Thank you for my rose and concats, Weezer. That definitely blessed my meowmy and me.

Thank you Catster for honoring me as a DDP!

This morning my meowmy's catputer would not let her online. She said something about her carrier not letting her get on. This is the second time this has happened since my pawrents went with DSL through Windstream. Anyway, Auntie Barbi called my meowmy and they were talking about "things" and my meowmy told her that she could not get online. Auntie Barbi checked diaries and told my meowmy, "Hooch is a DDP!" My meowmy did NOT believe her at first. Meowmy asked her if she was kidding and Auntie Barbi said no. Then Aunt Barbi told my meowmy that I was a DDP also. My meowmy could not believe it. Her special angel (that would be me) was a DDP too. My pawrents had plans with Boot's pawrents to go out to breakfast so they did not have much time. Then just right before my pawrents had to leave, my meowmy was finally able to get online to let me see that Hooch was a DDP. I saw my meowmy's face leak when she saw I was a DDP, too. I know how furry much my meowmy misses me. I miss her too.

My wonderpurr fiancé Sammy gave me a furever diamond sometime yesterday after my meowmy got off the catputer. My precious Sammy said, "Diamonds really are forever, just as our love for one another. Thought that you might like a little sparkly to add to your page, my dear. I am looking forward to the day that we seal our love before all of our friends and family and become one." Isn't that too wonderpurr for words? I love my Sammy so much. I can't wait until we are married and are one big happy furmily.

Kittanna, Taillee, Zilla, Lilly, Tigger (a sweet angel) and Henry (a dog angel) sent me a delicious lemon drink and said, "Yay!! Another in the family gets some well-deserved honour!! Woo hoo!!! Y'all enjoy and hope you like basking in that spotlight Clawdia!!" Thank you, Kittanna and furmily. I know how much my meowmy and siblings like all of you!

Snowmitts, Cocoa, Picasso, Kashmere, Jaspurr, Aspen and Biscotti gave me a purrty rose and said, "Catgrats on your DDP honor and may you have a purr-fect Sunday, celebrating! "

A special angel named Wally sent me a purrty rose and a nice picture of my DDP honor and said, "Congratulations beautiful lady~ Here is a memento of your day~" Thank you so much Wally for this special treat! I love the picture of my honor.

Wanda, Norman, Tess, Rupert, Mitchell, Beckie, Fay, Princess, Harvey, Bess, Lewis, Einstein, Mama Kitty, Lilly, Blackie, Patti, Nikki, Frankie, Freddie, Marie, Sunni, Roxanne, a beautipurr angel, Rosie, Bob and Jesse sent me a beautipurr white ribbon and said, "Yea! Catster recognizes true brilliance! Congrats on being a daily diary pick! We love you guys!" Wanda is a purrty angel who is going to be in my wedding to Sammy.

Sammie and KiKi sent me a beautipurr heart and said, "Congrats on being a DDP..Your a beautiful Angel!" I saw my meowmy's face leak again on that one!

My brofur Hooch's fiancée Calamity sent me a white ribbon for my DDP honor. She said, "To my future sisfur in law. Congratulations for being a DDP for today! Your family is pawesome by the way, just so you know. *he, he* Blowing kisses up to you at the bridge, Calamity" Thanks, Calamity, I wish we could have known each other in life. I will watch over you and Hooch.

A pawsome furmily - Mercedes (Mercy), Milo, (a beautiful angel), Sofie, Riley, Pebbles, Reebok, Nike, Joy, Enzo, Melody, Pixie, Quincy and Cosmo (dogs but nice dogs) and Butch (an angel dog) sent me a sweet rose and said, "Congratulations on being a DDP, Clawdia! You are definitely a beautiful angel." Thank you for saying I am a beautiful angel. We certainly think Milo is one of the most beautiful angels on Catster. He touches my meowmy's heart more than you will effur know.

Vincent, Ming, Moppet (angel) and the Oregon City 5 gave me a lovely purple flower and said, "Concats on DDP, angel kitty!"

Tabby, a beautipurr angel who was one of the first to befuriend me on Catster and a sweet angel, sent me a furry nice rose. She said, "I love the poem, sweetie ... and I'm in God's backyard right along with you. **hugs her sweet furriend** I thank God fur allowing me to meet Tabby and the privilege of calling her my furiend.

Sausage and Meatball sent me a delicious watermelon. They said, "ConCATs on being a DDP!" *Meatball pushes Sausage out of the way* "May I purrlease have your PAWtograph, too?" *holds out her Hello Kitty pad & ink pad* Aw, sure you can, Sausage! Thanks fur making my meowmy (and me) giggle.

Thank you to Catster for bestowing the DDP honor on me. And thanks to each of you who remembered an angel kitty's honors.

In God's Backyard - touching

My meowmy saw this posted on one of the groups to which we belong. She doesn't know the author but thought it was furry touching and wanted to share it. If anyfur knows who authored this, please let us know.

I play in God's Backyard effuryday now.

I'm in God's Backyard

In God's back yard, the puppies play
They're out there having fun all day........
In God's back yard, there is no pain
No experiments or rain.........

Each precious cat gets loving hugs
And all the dogs get belly rubs......
There's millions there, both large and small
In God's back yard, there's room for all...

All dogs just bark with joy
No crabby neighbors to annoy......
And every angel is a vet
They can cure anything, I bet....

No, the dogs don't growl. The cats don't hiss
For there's not one thing amiss....
All are happy, All are loved
Somewhere in the skies above......

I hear there's no more suffering
No loneliness or wandering....
No more need for them to roam
For, at last, they all have homes....

My furmily and I just heard some furry sad news about Cole. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. Our furmily is deeply saddened by this news. Please stop by Cole's page and send your condolences to his grieving family.

A precious baby named Wee Geordi joined us at the Rainbow Bridge furmily. He was only 2 months old and he fought a good fight and had such love from his meowmy. My whole family is deeply saddened that he had to go to the Bridge. We purr that he will rest well. He will be missed by so many who have purred fur him over the past months. He will live in many hearts forever.

We have a new angel at the Rainbow Bridge named Wee Geordi.

We welcomed Wee Geordi to the Rainbow Bridge sometime during the night last night. He was purring last night when he went to bed. His family and those praying for him had hopes that he was improving from his rollercoaster life. If you have followed this brave little guy's story, he has fought a very good fight to live, with the help of his meowmy. She is heartbroken now. Please send lots of love and prayers to Wee Geordi's furmily to help them get through this sad and difficult time. My meowmy can't quit having leaking eyes right now. We are deeply saddened over this small baby having to come to the Bridge but welcome this little guy with open arms and our wings to surround him with love.
