Arrival Story:
I came home from work one night and found Murphy on my front porch. He was a mess: scrawny, matted fur, sneezing, with a draining eye. He was extremely friendly, and I found while petting him that his tail had been pulled off, either by a dog or by getting it caught in something. I decided that if he was still there the next day, I'd take him to the vet and get him help. He was, I did, and now he thinks he owns the place.

Bio:
Murphy was feline leukemia positive, and the disease finally took him in the summer of 2010. He fought hard right to the end, but I think he was ready to go. He had a hard life, but I'm grateful that for at least a part of it, he knew he was loved.

The reason the adoption range is limited to 50 miles is that I get carsick. Mom's trying to make sure neither of us has to be stressed any longer than necessary. She said something about giving me "Rescue Remedy," but as far as I know, she hasn't tried that yet. I'll keep you updated. Mrowr!

Hi, furiends, 'sup? I just thought I'd say a meow or two about stuff, just to say hello! I live in a big old house with a BUNNNNCH of other kitties. They are kinda scared of me, but I don't really know why. I've never attacked them, but I HAVE tried to play with them a few times. I guess they take it the wrong way. Most of the time I just sit back and watch things happen. I am first in line at the dinner dish, but I don't fight over kibble: I just go after it "with a purpose." Heh.

Sometimes my mom eats in front of the tv, and she can come up with some tempting meals, lemme tell ya'! I get right next to her on the sofa and stare, and if that doesn't work (it rarely does), I head-butt her arm or hand to get her attention. I do that when I want to be petted, too. It's better than clawing at her - I did that once and she was NOT happy. She thinks the head-butt is really cute and usually gives me whatever I want.

I have a scary voice, kinda rough and gravelly, but I haven't had to use it much. When I first came here I was hungry a lot and didn't feel well, so I cried for food and attention. I figured out mom was gonna take care of me, though, and I stopped worrying and relaxed. Even though there are lots of us, it's a pretty peaceful household.

Until I paw again,
Murph
