Likes:
Dry food, humans, being combed. Rufus has just accepted being taken for walks on a lead and harness. He ignores the giggles from other people, and is showing me parts of the world I'd never noticed before.

Pet-Peeves:
Small children - he really doesn't like them! He is also scared of babies crying.

Favorite Toy:
Strip of fabric attached to a stick wiggled on the ground. His blankie (he was even allowed to take it to the vet with him)

Favorite Nap Spot:
Cushion next to window, in the sun. Or at the top of the stairs, especially in the dark.

Favorite Food:
He'd really like to eat normal food, especially fish, but he's not allowed anymore. He can only eat special prescription food.

Skills:
Knowing when someone is coming to the door and growling at them until he knows they are acceptable. Then he's all over them.

Arrival Story:
Rufus came to my door, obviously lost. He was starving and very very thin. He ate three servings of food at one sitting, had a wash, and went away. He came back the next morning and ate two servings, stayed for a while and went away. That night, my other cat was complaining about a cat being in my backyard. I looked, and there was Rufus, looking very small and alone in the night. I brought him in, and the next day tried to find his people through a letter box drop, contacting the RSPCA and putting an ad in the paper. No one came forward, and he has been with me ever since.

Bio:
Rufus has had a number of medical problems since he arrived. His most recent problem is a urinary tract disease which came to light when I noticed he couldn't pee. Despite these, he has become the most gentle and sooky cat who loves people. His favourite hobby is sharing his fur by shedding on everyone he meets. He even loves up to the vets who do things to him which must be very uncomfortable.
