I LOVED Dental Diet cat food.
Don't mess with me when I don't want to be messed with or I'll BITE you or slice you with my razor sharp claws! I hate all the cats in the neighbhorhood - except Spice because she's the same color as me - but better not get to close all the same.
Favorite Nap Spot:
In a box on the front porch in the winter time because Dad hooked up a heat lamp and it was SO nice and toasty there!
Live geckos or lizards. Sometimes a little mouse...
I was really smart. I could "shake", tap with my "left" hand, stand up on 2 feet on command - of course only for food!
indoors and outdoors
When Mom and Dad met, Mom had 2 cats - Squeaky and Delilah. Dad really got attached to Delilah, so when she finally died, he was really sad.
But Mom was tired of being the one to feed and water the cats and clean the litter box, so she told Dad HE would get to pick out the next cat so he could help with the care and feeding.
Dad always wanted an orange cat and really wanted a Scottish Fold. But they are expensive and there are SO many kittens without homes, so he just kept looking. Somehow he found out about me online. Mom drove them way way far away to a house in the country to look at the little orange kitty. I was only 5 weeks old.
My Mom was a tiny, tiny tortie. I had a black sister, a tortie sister, and a gray brother. Mom wanted to take my brother home too, but Dad so no, just the little tiny orange fur ball. Mom drove so that Dad could bond with his new baby on the way home. Mom kept trying to pet me but Dad kept saying "keep your eyes on the road - this is MY kitty".
When we got to my new home, they discovered that I was COVERED in fleas. Dad got the flea comb and took me on the front porch and combed and combed and combed me, putting the fleas in a jar of alcohol. Mom liked watching them die - she hates fleas! After that I always LOVED to be brushed for the rest of my life.
They didn't know what to call me, but then Mom remembered a little kitten that lived across the street from them in College Station. Whenever Mom went outside, the kitten would come running across the street to get loved on. Dad would say "here comes your little buddy!"
When they moved to Austin, Mom wanted to ask the neighbors if she could have the kitten, but Dad said NO - you already have 2 cats. So, back to me - Mom suggested I be called Little Buddy because I was so tiny I fit in my Dad's hand.
Well..... Little did they know that I would grow up to be a VERY BIG cat! I was 20 pounds in the winter and about 18 pounds in the summer. Hopefully Mom can find the picture of me lying next to Dad and you can see how big I was. Everyone thought I might have some Bobcat in me because I was so big. My birth Mom would have been amazed because I was more than twice her size!

You would have been 20 years old this month. Dad and Mom still think about you a lot and miss you. I hope you are getting special stuff and Dental Diets in Rainbow Land. I miss my big orange boy, and all the fun times we had. Be a good boy and find another kitty to snuggle with.

Hi Little Buddy - I hope you enjoying the Rainbow Bridge. Dad and Mom still think about you. I just found one of your brushes. It has a lot of your fur still in it. You loved to get brushed, especially when you got stickers in your fur. You were such a big furry fellow.
I'm missing on ya.....Dad

Hi Little Buddy - Daddy is missing on you. I remember how much you loved the warm heat lamp during the winters...in your special box on the front porch. You were such a good purring machine all year long....a sweet boy to everyone you met.
I hope you are still getting your favorite Dental Diet crunchies in Rainbow Land. I think about you often and remember all the days with The Bud. You were such a soft kitty and a good cuddler.
I miss my Little Buddy
