When I first lived alone in New Orleans, a friend said I needed a cat so he took me to the SPCA to get one. I put my hand in six cages and got scratched five times. I adopted the sweet one who didn't scratch me. On the way home in the car, my friend said, "They're all sweet when you get them, and then they become mendacious." I said, "Oh, she won't be like that, but if she is I'll name her Mindy." She was and I did.
Bio:
Kitten Mindy chewed the plants, scratched the new couch and got into everything. After she was spayed, she grew into a sweet, gentle and loving cat. Mindy helped to raise Suki when he came along and then Molly in her turn. She moved with her Mama seven times,
even though she always got sick in the car. Dear Mindy developed heart trouble and died as gently as she lived at the age of 14.
