Thanks for everyone's warm wishes celebrating my Cat of the Dayishness! What a fun surprise! I'm truly honored- as a size challenged kitty I'm always sure to rock my Napoleon complex and lap up any attention, respect, or honors I can get!
Since I have a bit more exposure than usual I thought I'd take this chance to plug some of my family's foster kitties. If you're here on my page you can see that I have a ridiculously large family. Some of these cats are outdoor ferals and some have sadly parted ways with this world, but even discounting them it's huge. The main reason is because my humans foster cats and kittens, a heartwrenching process by which they take in a slightly feral cat, teach them to love people and live as happy indoor cats, and once they've mutually fallen completely in love they have to find them a new home or send them to a no-kill shelter or adoption group so they can help the next litter of kittens or injured stray. It doesn't always work out that way, like in the case of Riley, Hillary, Nips, Moggie, and Dominic who are still with us- but Ernie, Izzie, Alfie, and Lucy all found great homes and so have 30-odd others!
Right now we have 9-month old Bob (now formally know as "Teary") who is currently being bounced around between Save-a-Pet shelter and several local PetSmarts, and Emmy and Pearl- two 3 month old kittens who have taken over the downstairs. If you live in the Chicago-Milwaukee area and are considering or know someone who is considering getting another cat, they are all really sweet kitties that have gotten along really well with older cats in the home environment. Teary-Bob is a big gentle giant who just loves to be cradled like a baby. Emmy is a silly little girl who loves being held and bashing against you and letting out funny little squeaky mews. And sweet Pearl is a little doll who could spend hours in your lap purring and licking your hand if you offer it to her. They all have Catster profiles down at the bottom of my "family" list, and they are all very deserving of good homes.
...Most importantly, they all *need* to find good homes with other people so they don't end up adding to my permanent family! I'm just a tiny 10 year old lady, I don't need to be competing with a bunch of overgrown youngin's for attention and I don't need to be running myself ragged keeping them in line! It's tough being the little sheriff in a town with so many citizens!

Kaci Concats on your cat of the day honor. You are so pawsome to help these kitties in need. I hope you find homes for all of them. Thanks for the nice comments everyone- it was fun being Cat of the Day! Having been born a humble feral kitten I'm glad my people can do the good work they do helping other little kitties find their way into the posh world of the indoor cat; but I still say I don't need new little "brothers" or "sisters" any time soon and these kids need to find forever homes elsewhere!
