Arrival Story:
Normie came into my life a few weeks after my mother passed away in 2005. He was needing a good home because his previous owner had a very sick dog and they lived in an apartment which was not large enough for them all. During work hours, both the dog and Norman were put into the bathroom. The minute I saw Norman and he saw me, we became fast friends. I brought him home a couple days later. Norman was 8 years old when I got him and was such a purr-fect kitty. He welcomed me home at night and sat by me on the couch then would jump on the bed, walk up to the top of my head, lay down and we would sleep. In late November 2005, he started losing weight quickly. His fur was lack-luster and greasy looking. I took him to the vet on a thursday, who diagnosed him with cancer. I brought him home but by Saturday, December 5, 2005, I had to call the vet and take him in..he was at that time very very sick and would not look at me when I would call his name. He would literally turn away from me. I had to make the decision to either let him continue to suffer or "let him go." Norman is over Rainbow Bridge. He is happy now but missed very very much by me.
