This morning I played a prank on my Mommy. I like to hide my toys under the coat closet door. But then they are hard to get back, so I sit there and ask her to open it. Today I sat there looking as wistful as I could, and she came over to open it - no toys! MADE YOU LOOK!, and I charged off triumphantly!

It's been such a long long time. But last night, Daddy made the red bug run. He said something about the batteries being dead, but after fidgeting with some little buttons, he said I could play.
Hooray! I really really missed chasing the red bug. He took it up the stairs and I ran all the way up and jumped 5 feet up the wall at the end! I didn't get any higher than that because I am out of practice, but just wait! By next week, I'm going to touch the ceiling. When I started to get out of breath, he took the bug all over the living room floor, and I tracked it the whole time, jittering back and forth.
An important note for you kitties out there. The Red Bug is actually a laser pointer, I'm told. I'm always really good and chase the red spot, and never look to see where it comes from, cause that could hurt my eyes. You never want the light to shine in your eyes.
Thank you Daddy for playing Red Bug again!

I love yarn! I can't leave it alone. I found some in a box in the basement, and now I'm addicted. I open the closets downstairs, and dig through the boxes until I find yarn, and then I run upstairs and leave it by the bed. I go back and find more! Sometimes it snags, and I leave a really long string of yarn trailing all over the house. I love strings too!
I love yarn! I love how it feels in my mouth, with lots of strings. I love how it feels soft against my paws. I love how it pillows my head.
I love yarn! A couple days ago, I found some yarn in a plastic shopping bag. That wasn't tough. I just tore the bag open with my teeth, and got the yarn. My people don't seem to think that is a good thing -- all the plastic bags are gone now.
I love yarn! Last night, when my people came home, they gave me my very own yarn - one skein of bright orange, and one skein of soft purple. I love my yarn, and I am going to take very good care of it.

Sometimes people are very surprised to find out I am a male cat. I don't understand this. With a mane like mine, I should think it is obvious. Have no doubt - I am a male cat, and I love the girls. My beautiful fur keeps them warm when we rest, and makes them sneeze when we play, which gives me a distinct advantage! I work very hard at being cute, because I get lots of attention and playtime that way.
Evidently, there is some confusion about my name, which is considered a flower. Acutally, the name dandelion comes from the Old French, dent-de-lion, which means "lion's tooth" named for the shape of the plant's leaves. So I am not named for the flower, but for the leaf. And I have very sharp teeth, which I love to use, especially on foam and Daddy's inflatable dinosaur globe, and any other plastic I can find.
But my name is spelled specially too. DandyLion. If you saw me trot around the house, or heard my roar, you would understand. I answer to Dan, Dan-Dan, and Dandy-Dan. I am Dan the Lion!
