Arrival Story:
**DAISY HAS FOUND A HOME!!! Thank you all for you kind and positive thoughts to her!!! Daisy is a very special girl with a very sad story. In short, Daisy is dying of renal failure (chronic kidney failure.) We are hoping against all odds to find a person with a heart big enough to give her some love, care, and a comfortable home where she can live out the end of her days. Daisy is an elderly girl - we're not sure exactly how old, but she is upwards of 10 years. She is sweet as can be, loving and gentle and happy to have whatever attention she can get. It would be so wonderful if we could find the right person to open up their heart and home to her and committ to an end-of-life foster situation. Right now Daisy is being given supportive care (fluids daily, supplements to her food, and some medication to control nausea). These are things that someone could do at their home. Our vet staff think that poor Daisy probably has about a year left...she might have as many as two or three in a home, but sadly there are no gurantees.

Bio:
She is a favorite at Hope Vet / Infinite Hope for her sweet demeanor and gentle soul. Right now, she gets the run of the treatment area, and spends most of her time curled up on a shelf in one of our exam rooms or in a bin in the coat room! This is much better and more comfortable for her than being in a cage, but a real home with a cozy couch or chair and a person who can spend some time giving her some love would be even better. It's not everyone who can make the committment to providing care to an animal that doesn't have much time to live, but it is an incredibly giving and rewarding thing to do. Daisy is a lovely lady. If you think you might have it in your heart to help her, please call us or respond to this posting to find out more about Daisy and what is involved in caring for her.
