Guess what? I'm in California. It's just like everyone says. It's been 77 degrees here in January! I flew to Sunnyvale, California (my new home) last Sunday. It was a 6 hour flight, but I handled it like a pro. I am used to traveling, so it was a breeze. As long as I could see my new mom's face, I was fine. She nodded off for a second, and her head rolled out of my view, but I gave a loud "meow" to let her know I was watching her. For the rest of the flight, we kept our eyes on each other.
When I arrived home, I had a room full of new toys, and blankies. I tried out all the new toys, but still preferred my crinkle ball that my other mom (Terri) sent with me. I made some serious bread on the new soft blankets, then thought I would check out my new surroundings. I could see my new sister peeking under the door at me. Her name is Marilyn. She's a Sable Burmese, 8 months old and....quite dashing!
I was still a little unsure of my new surroundings, so I stayed clear of the door.
The first night at my new home, I was so incredibly excited that I ran laps around the room, ran over my new moms' faces, and chased toys until around 3am. I slept for a few hours until Mom had to get up for work. It was playtime all over again.
Fast forward to the following Sunday:
Today was my first full day having full run of the entire house with Marilyn. Marilyn is SO immature! She keeps following me everywhere and wanting me to chase her. I just want to play with my crinkle ball, not her. Marilyn keeps making sweet chirps at me, and giving me goo-goo eyes....ick!
I do notice she has a nice thick coat, and could come in handy as a snuggle-partner .
My new mom is spoiling me rotten. I get to sleep under the covers with her, we play fetch constantly, and get constant kisses!!
Well, time for me to get some rest. Today has been very exciting.

Catma just told me, I'm going to be moving to California!
I am a little confused, since I thought I was moving up to Greenwich Village (and would visit the Happy Carrot Health Food Store, MOL) and would be sharing a pad with Tracy and Ray and the other roomies there...
But, as fate would have it, another Tracy (two in fact) and another Burmese (this one's called Marilyn) are going to be adopting me! Tracy met Catma about 15 years ago, at a cat show and they have kept in touch since then. So I am going to live with a good friend and that's reassuring. And having another girlfurrend will help me get over moving away.
Tracy's sister has a Furrydance Cornish Rex, and that happened because Tracy had a Cornish Rex too and Keely and Sean fell in love with him and wanted to keep him...but Tracy said, No-you have to get one of your own! Not long after that, Tracy lost Marcel to a bad heart defect called HCM. And as fate would have it, she lost her first Burmese to the same inherited defect.
She was very sad for a very long time and after much searching, she found a good breeder and brought home a new Burmese...that would be Marilyn. In between all of this sadness, Tracy had a friend that had a Sphynx and well...she found out about me and kept her fingers crossed that I would be hers, cuz she really liked Roswell a lot!
Tracy in the village (Catma to Raypod) decided that Ray was too much an alpha cat to accept another adult cat (that be me) and when she heard about Tracy and Tracey in CA, she gave her blessing for the adoption to go thru!
Tracy's brother-in-law is donating his frequent flyer miles (how cume I don't earn those--I fly alot...around the house, MOL) so I can fly all comfy, cozy in the cabin with Tracy. She is coming out on January 9th to get me, and she will get to sleep with me in the guest room (I'm a bed hog), and Catma said she will take me to the airport when we meet Tracy (I love to ride in the car), and then the next day, we all will go sightseeing and that sounds exciting! Since it will be cold out, I think I will stay in the car, all bundled up (I have some cute sweaters), sit in Tracy's lap (and purr and bunt) as they drive around looking at monuments and stuff.
So, all my furrends, look up Marilyn the Burmese and let me know what you think of my soon-to-be new girlfurrend. I am sure she will fall in love with me, so no worries there. And like I said before, I trust Catma to make the best choice when she started looking for a new family for me. I know she knows I will be happy with Tracy and Tracey and Marilyn, and then she can work on seeing if Disco will be less stressed with me out of the picture. She is trying to put out of her mind, how much she will miss me, but knows she'll be getting mews and photos and emails from T and T and of course, keep track of me on Catster, too!
That's all the Newds for now.

Hey furrends! I hear CatMom talking on the phone and I think I might be moving to New York City! I have been there twice before, for cat shows and might be moving in with Tracy, Ray and the gang in Greenwich Village! I think I would make a good city cat, though I will miss racing up and down the 3 flights of stairs here in my townhouse. Hope I don't get fat like Disco, MOL.
Ray's catmom and all her friends keep asking when I am moving in. Gee, I guess I'll let Teri take care of those details, but I think maybe when Teri and Binx go up to New York for the big cat show in October? Tracy asked if I get to take all my wardrobe with me, so I think she has plans to dress me up, too. And maybe she could even try me in the Agility competition since I've done that before. I don't think I would repeat Ray's performance of pretending I was a pet rock, MOL.
Teri keeps saying she will miss me, but she is by herself now, no CatDad to help out, so she wants me to get lots more love and attention, and she thinks Tracy will be the best home for me. I know she has my best interests at heart, I trust my CatMom. And she will get to visit me when she comes to NY, too. I know I will remember her!
Well, that's the mews from my cat bed!
Mewling at you later,
