The Late Great Baron

Goodbye Sweet Baron, and THANK YOU!

Hey- this is the Baron's owner.

At about 5:15 pm, I carried my sweet Baron out to the car and let him sit in the front seat, totally free of his pet carrier. I rolled down the windows and he sniffed the air the whole 30 minute ride to the vet's office. He seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.

It was difficult to say goodbye, but as I stood in the little room at the vet's office, shamelessly weeping, I stopped telling him goodbye and started thanking him for always being there for me, and for just everything.

Today at about 6pm, the Baron departed this world.

Thank You so much Baron von Stinkerton, for always being there for me, and for reminding me that no matter how down and out things may seem, there is always something to be happy about. Thank you, my sweet kitty cat, and may you rest in peace.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Well everyone, this is my final blog post. I'm not doing too well here. I might not make it through the night, but I am trying to hold on for a bit longer. I'm just so very tired. My owner said she's gonna take me to the vet tomorrow, and make sure I am comfortable. But she also told me that if I need to, I can just let go before then. She told me she loves me and that I'm the best kitty cat ever and that I made her happy. She's not happy too often, so it was nice to see her smile when she said that. No sarcasm, no tears, just sincerity. And I think I know exactly what she feels.

It's difficult for me to find the right words. I'm tempted to just say, "Mraaaahhwwwh" or something like that and just leave it at that, but it doesn't seem fitting.

I've had a great life. I've been happy and well cared for. And that's all I ever really wanted.

Well, I wish I could think of something clever to say. I told my owner to think of something clever later, and then update this blog entry and pretend it was me who said it. She said she'd do her best. She's funny like that.

With that, I bid you all adieu. Ha! I guess I learned that word from my owner reading to me late at night.

Goodnight, all my kitty friends and their wonderful owners. Goodnight, catster.

And goodnight to my owner, whom I love very much. Don't miss me too much. Always think happy thoughts when you think of me, and you'll be fine.

Love Always,
Baron von Stinkerton

Well I slept most of the weekend away. I sure don't feel well. But it was super cool that I got Diary of the Day again! I love being the center of attention. I'm really tired, so that's all I have to say, thanks Catster!!!
